Jessica Jones and Daredevil are two of Marvel's most popular street level heroes. While they have fought together in the MCU's Netflix show The Defenders, they have a long established history together. All the way back to Jessica's first original series, Alias, she worked for Matt Murdock as his bodyguard to help cover his secret identity after the blind lawyer was publicly accused of being Daredevil.

While the two have fought alongside one another on many occasions, it is interesting to speculate how they would do if they ever turned against each other instead. Who would win between Daredevil and Jessica Jones?

10 Strength: Jessica Jones

Raw strength counts for a lot in a fight. Daredevil has demonstrated he is incredibly strong. He has ninja training and keeps himself in peak physical condition. He has backflipped off rooftops, punched out people with superpowers, and lifted a solid steel vault door whose tremendous weight was its locking mechanism.

For all this, Jessica Jones has actual superpowers like enhanced strength. She can lift a car with one hand. This puts her at a clear advantage.

9 Technique: Daredevil

The training Matt Murdock received from his mentor Stick gave him a huge advantage in becoming a superhero. He essentially has all the martial arts skills needed to take out ninja assassins. He also has learned to use his sonic hearing to shoot a bow and arrow without being able to see. Meanwhile, Jessica is a classic brawler. She approaches every fight like a bar fight.

It is uncertain whether Jessica ever received any kind of formal defensive or martial arts training. On the other Hand, Matt has the training necessary to take down the ninjas of the Hand. Here Daredevil is at a clear advantage.

8 Resourcefulness: Tie

For the sake of clarity, resourcefulness here is the ability to draw upon resources, whether financial assets, practical knowledge, or personnel. It will have a bit of an overlap with other areas, but is broadly defined for a reason.

As a lawyer, Matt has ties to the community and a broad knowledge of the law to draw upon. He also knows many people with specific skills, some of which have proven great financial benefactors. Jessica Jones is a private investigator who uses her understanding of computers to help in her cases. She also has been on two Avengers teams. In this case, both have established resources to draw upon, resulting in a tie.

7 Adaptability: Daredevil

Unlike resourcefulness, which involves using existing resources, adaptability is all about thinking on one's feet and changing things up at the last second. This is actually an area where both are quite adept.

These two tragic heroes have had just about every awful thing imaginable thrown at them. While both have a tendency to brood, they also both will pull their way out of a bad situation. However, when the metaphorical rug is yanked out from under them, of the two, Daredevil is the more likely to do a gymnastic flip and land on his feet, while Jessica could find herself flat on her face with a bottle of whiskey to help cope.

6 Resilience: Jessica Jones

As far as physical resilience is concerned, neither of these two is easy to kill. They've both been attacked by ninja, supervillains, black magic, and killer robots (which, when one thinks about it, is a lot of weird phenomena to have in common). They've also both been tortured and each lost parents at a young age.

Emotionally, it is difficult to say who the more resilient is, as the two suffered many of the same tragedies and coped similarly. Matt might be the tougher in that category, but just barely. However, as far as physical toughness goes, Jessica's superpowers make her the more resilient.

5 Mobility: Tie

The ability to move about freely is invaluable in a superhero fight. After all, when fighting against the various powerful entities wreaking havoc in the Marvel Universe, getting cornered can quickly spell out death.

Daredevil is able to do flips, various aerial gymnastic maneuvers, and parkour stunts to get around, while the grappling line in his billy club lets him swing from rooftops. He is one of the most agile heroes ever to join the Avengers roster. But Jessica Jones can fly. She might not be very good at flying, but that is still an advantage most of the time. In this, her clumsiness with flying and his amazing grace of non-powered movement make this a tie.

4 Fighting Dirty: Jessica Jones

The point of a fight is not to be honorable and upright, but to win, no matter what it takes. Daredevil is a bit of a swashbuckler in his approach to fighting, using high kicks and slashing with his batons.

Jessica fights like a caged animal. She will break the bottle of whatever whiskey she'd drinking across someone's face, then use the shards to stab at her opponent. When it comes to fighting dirty, Jessica may not act heroically, but she is willing to do whatever it takes to win.

3 Weapons: Daredevil

While the Man Without Fear has been trained in a number of weapons, Daredevil's signature weapon is his cane, which can fold into a grappling hook and double as a billy club. He uses this to swing across the Manhattan skyline just as frequently as he thumps criminals across the skull with it.

Jessica Jones does not have a signature weapon. She doesn't even have weapons training in any meaningful way. Not to put too fine a point on it, but Daredevil is by far the better fighter when it comes to using weapons.

2 Allies: Daredevil

Both Jessica Jones and Daredevil are brooding loners. Despite this, the characters have their fair share of superhero friends. In fact, each of them has been an Avenger and been a member of the Defenders team. This is important, as it always helps to be able to call for backup.

One big thing that separates these two heroes is how people respond to them. While Daredevil has a number of heroes who consider him a dear friend, Jessica repeatedly succeeds in driving off pretty much every person she cares about. The two also have a lot of the same friends, and chances are that if they were asked to choose, those friends would side with Daredevil over Jessica Jones.

1 Winner: Daredevil

This would be a close fight. Both Jessica Jones and Daredevil are street level heroes who share a lot in common. While Jessica has super powers that give her an advantage in most situations, Daredevil's greater experience and training ultimately would make him the winner of any fight.
