Marvel India Trolls Fans Awaiting Avengers 4 Trailer

Marvel's Avengers 4 is a movie that markets itself, allowing the studio to break all the rules of advertising and just keep drawing out the suspense. The release is set for May 3, but so far there's been no trailer, but lots of speculation about when it might arrive. Marvel, of course, knows exactly how bad the fans want one, and it's not above having a little fun with it.

The Marvel India Twitter account posted a video today that may have caused some palpitating hearts with its accompanying words, "Here is the Avengers 4..." Keep reading, however, and it finishes with "character named Thor."

Sure enough, the video is a spotlight on Chris Hemsworth's Thor, complete with descriptive pop-ups on such important anatomical features as his "Heart filled with Asgardian courage" and "Crave-worthy smooth silky blonde hair." Judging by the trail of responses, plenty of fans fell for it and are back to pleading for the real trailer.

As noted by ComicBook.com, this isn't the first time that Marvel India has trolled fans: Recently it posted a video of Hulk and added, "Expecting #WhereIsTheAvengers4Trailer comments in 3, 2, 1..."

To be fair, 3- seconds of Thor is a good way to kill time while waiting for the trailer. The video included the hashtag #MarvelAnatomy, so there may be more characters getting the same treatment coming up.

The untitled sequel to Avengers: Infinity War will release on May 3, 2019. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Marvel’s Avengers 4 stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie.
