Wild Dog may not be a character that's too well known, although his starring role in the Arrowverse would have certainly helped his popularity. Much like many other vigilantes, Wild Dog actually operates without any powers.
While the TV show iteration and the one from the comics are both completely different, one thing they share in common is that they are formidable fighters but can sometimes get in over their head. Here's 5 Marvel characters that Wild Dog can't beat and 5 he might be able to!
10 Can't: Iron Man
Tony Stark has faced threats far greater than Wild Dog could actually pose. Unfortunately, the weapons that the vigilante has available to him wouldn't really work on Iron Man's high tech armor. In fact Iron Man's own weapons systems are far superior.
A fight between the two wouldn't last too long and while Wild Dog's elite training might have him a step ahead in terms of tactics, there's simply no keeping up with the sheer power available to Iron Man when he goes into battle.
9 Can: Shang-Chi
Shang-Chi may be the master of martial arts but that doesn't mean he's prepared to take on the threat of a military man. Even expert hand to hand combat skills can't cope against a barrage of fire power. Wild Dog is also gifted with some combat training himself.
Hand to hand, Wild Dog is no match for Shang-Chi, but bringing these weapons into play can secure Wild Dog the victory. There's a number of elements that can work in his favor, not least the fact that he's used to dealing with enemies similar to this.
8 Can't: Captain America
Steve Rogers has had to deal with threats like Wild Dog so many times that it's really all part of the routine now. His vibranium shield will protect him from any fire power that Wild Dog is sending his way and he's incredibly well skilled.
His super strength, speed, and agility will close the gap between the two quickly and as soon as he is in close range there's not really going to be a fight. Despite the protective clothing that Wild Dog might wear, he will rapidly fall to a punch or two.
7 Can: Mockingbird
Mockingbird is another hero on this list that doesn't operate with any super powers for most of her career, until a run in with the super soldier serum. Both her and Wild Dog have pretty similar training backgrounds.
This would be a well matched encounter but one we would give to Wild Dog, simply because of the fire power he normally brings. He works much better from a distance and Mockingbird won't be able to close the gap in time in order to win the battle.
6 Can't: Luke Cage
The problem for Wild Dog here is that if he's going to rely on his firepower, he won't get very far against a man with unbreakable skin. Even in hand to hand combat he cannot stand against the strength of Luke Cage.
Cage is also pretty gritty in his fighting technique. Looking for a brawling approach, he stands out in the Marvel Universe although Wild Dog might fit in with his own scrappy style. However, in this battle Cage will always come out on top.
5 Can: Hawkeye
Hawkeye of course uses a bow and arrow, but aside from this, his skills are pretty similar to Wild Dog. The protective clothing in his arsenal might actually protect him from Clint's arrows which might give him a little bit of an edge.
Due to their equal skills, there's a good chance that this fight could go either way. It's therefore important to note that while there are a variety of situations where Clint might leave with the victory, there's an equal number where Wild Dog can absolutely beat Hawkeye.
4 Can't: Wasp
The Wasp has a massive advantage in this fight and that's the fact that she can shrink down. Wild Dog won't know how to combat this new threat which means that he's already on the back foot as he enters the fray.
What's worse, her stingers, agility, and flight abilities will only increase her odds of victory, while Wild Dog has to struggle coping with all these powers which he doesn't have a huge deal of experience in facing.
3 Can: The Punisher
The Punisher is almost equal to Wild Dog, but he often leaves rationality behind and marches into battle, unprotected and acts emotionally. Wild Dog can use that to his advantage in order to gain an edge.
Punisher has far more combat experience than Wild Dog, but it's Wild Dog's scrappy determination that could allow him to win this battle, especially if he pulls out some of his unique moves that Frank Castle might not be accustomed to.
2 Can't: The Mighty Thor
The Mighty Thor is formiddable both solo and when on a team, but it's even more apparent that no matter the incarnation, Thor will clearly beat Wild Dog with great ease. He would be taking on the powers of the god of thunder.
This is simply something he isn't equipped for. He doesn't exactly have a god killing bullet and his mask would be absolutely useless against some of the fire power of The Mighty Thor. This fight would be over before it started.
1 Can: Daredevil
The man without fear is pretty used to taking on assailants with guns, but Wild Dog isn't a normal thug. He has a number of tricks up his sleeves, some of which may be able to disable some of Daredevils other senses.
It will certainly be a close battle and one that Wild Dog can't win with his fists alone, but if he plays this conflict smart, there's hope that he could actually turn the tide of this war.
