If there's one thing villains in the DC need to learn is that if they're going to commit a grand villainous scheme, they better have a plan to deal with the Justice League. If they aren't prepared for the god-like strength of Superman and Wonder Woman, or the cunning of Batman or the Atom, or the plethora of other members and their abilities, then they are in a world of trouble.

That being said, Batman has shown that the Justice League is not invincible. Regardless of what the roster is, they can be defeated one way or another. The following heroes and villains from Marvel's roster are among the few that stand a good chance of taking down the Justice League.

10 Dr. Strange

There's no question that the Sorcerer Supreme could easily wipe out the Justice League, even without the Time Stone. He can easily separate the League by opening portals and sending those who need oxygen and heat like the Flash and Batman into space. His mastery of the mystic arts would be able to rival Wonder Woman's skills in combat. As for Superman, he could be sent to the farthest reaches of space or another dimension where the yellow sun's radiation can't help him. The only true threat would be a magic user like Zatanna or Doctor Fate. Given Strange's intelligence, he could convince Dr. Fate that the Sorcerer Supreme is a force for order or find a means to silence or outwit Zatanna.

9 Loki

Loki wielding Mjolnir

He may not have a great track record with taking down the Avengers, but Loki would have better luck with the Justice League. Could he beat them one on one? That's hit or miss. Does he need to fight them? Not at all. Why? Because he's the God of Mischief, for crying out loud.

He could replace someone like Steve Trevor, fake their death, and leave behind some cryptic message to make the League suspect each other of foul play. He could team up with Ares and start a war that would force the heroes to pick sides. Or better yet, convince them that he's already swapped places with one of them. Then he could watch as they all turn on each other.

8 Carol Danvers

The MCU has made it abundantly clear that you do not want to mess with Carol Danvers. She's capable of taking out entire fleets of space ships and holding her own against Marvel's fiercest combatants. You better believe that she can go head to head against the likes of the Justice League. As Captain Marvel, her abilities of flight, super speed, and super strength make her a worthy match against the likes of Hal Jordan, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. Once she absorbs enough energy and becomes Binary, even Superman would be in some serious trouble. All that remains is making sure the Daily Planet knows which Captain Marvel they need to credit for defeating the Justice League.

7 Dr. Doom

It's not a proper Marvel list without some mention of Dr. Doom. What more can be said about this dictator that hasn't already been said? Sure the Justice League has dealt with megalomaniacs like Lex Luthor before, but Doom is a far greater threat.

His Instant Hypnotism Impulser will get them to fight each other. His incredible sorcery can shock even Raven. He has an army of Doombots and Demons at his beck and call, and his intellect is capable of outsmarting gods. How can anyone from the Justice League hope to match wits with a man who stitched the multiverse back together and ruled over it as a god? The answer: There is no chance for them to win. There is only Doom.

6 Rogue

Marvel X-Men Rogue 6 Cropped

How do you beat a girl that can drain and copy the superpowers of anyone she touches? The Justice League will be asking that if they ever fight Rogue. She's a dangerous mutant to go up against since she can drain the memories and life force from anyone she touches. Obviously, the Justice League aren't just going to let her drain them without a fight. Considering the fact that most of her powers come from Carol Danvers, they'll find that Rogue is full of surprises. The moment she grabs Superman, even kryptonite won't be enough to stop her from obliterating all of them.

5 Mysterio

Arguably the weakest contender on this list, Mysterio doesn't need to eliminate the Justice League personally. He's not the first villain to try to gaslight the Justice League, or just outright gas them with some manipulative toxin. With the right projection, hologram, or special effect, he could trick them into fighting each other. If he can trick Wolverine into doing his dirty work in Old Man Logan, who's to say that Shazam or Superman couldn't be deceived? Or if he wanted to pull a long con, Mysterio could make them think they've beaten him and lie in wait until they feel comfortable enough to unmask themselves. That's when he reveals himself broadcasting their secret identities to the world and watches their lives crumble.

4 Deadpool

Marvel Comics

If Deadpool goes up against the likes of the Justice League, expect two things: comedy and results. Wade Wilson is mostly known for his eccentric behavior and sense of humor but what isn't funny is his body count. For crying out loud, he's got two mini-series called Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe and Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again.

He'll probably get the Flash using some elaborate Acme-brand trap or steal some Kryptonite from Lex Luthor to make some crippling kryptonite katanas. Try saying that five times fast. The point is if you want the job done right, you go to the Merc with the Mouth.

3 Galactus

Galactus

Even if they bring their A-game, the Justice League doesn't stand a chance against Galactus. His control over the Power Cosmic could easily snuff out the likes of Superman and the Green Lanterns. Even DC's greatest minds wouldn't be able to find a solution before he consumes the planet. He wouldn't even need to take them out himself. There are plenty of metahumans who would volunteer to become his newest herald and take down the Justice League. If anything, Dr. Fate wouldn't need to be made a herald to side with Galactus if he's convinced that the Celestial is an agent of order.

2 Black Bolt

Marvel Black Bolt Cropped

Black Bolt doesn't need any gadgets or weapons or armies to take down the Justice League. The King of Attilan already possesses incredible super strength and super speed. What puts him over the top is that he has a voice that could put Black Canary's to shame. His whispers can crumble buildings and his cries have ripped holes in the fabric of reality. The Justice League will immediately think he's just the silent type like Batman. Once they corner him, his shouting will positively decimate them and potentially the entire planet. He could even extinguish the sun and eliminate the source of Superman's power if necessary. Just take our word that his word will be enough.

1 The Purple Man

Not to be confused with the Five Nights At Freddy's character, the Purple Man is a serious threat. He's most famously known from Jessica Jones for spending years controlling the title character. With the unnatural pheromones his body produces, he can control anyone that inhales them. All he would need is to find Lois Lane and order her to introduce him to Superman. Once they meet, he can tell Clark to kill the Justice League. Of course, that's just one example, but the point should be clear. By the end of the day, the Justice League will either be dead or just more of his helpless puppets.
