The Hulk is one of the toughest beings in the Marvel Universe. There are few scarier in a fight than him because of one of his old adages- the madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets. It's hard to know how strong the Hulk is but his strength is pretty much just limited by how angry he gets and on top of that, he can take a massive amount of damage and has one of the best healing factors in comics.

However, as tough as the Hulk is, there are heroes who could conceivably take a greater beating than him. Hulk may be the strongest one there is, but even those without his strength can be more durable.

10 Impossible Man Is Basically Indestructible

Impossible Man Stole The Infinity Gauntlet From Thanos

Impossible Man is Marvel's version of Mr. Mxyzptlk. While he doesn't have the reality-altering power of that 5th Dimensional imp, he can transform his body into anything and is pretty much indestructible, shrugging off hits from heroes as powerful as Thor and Silver Surfer. A rather mischievous alien, Impossible Man is nominally a hero but can get pretty annoying.

Impossible Man can survive anything and anywhere, even in the void of space. His shapeshifting powers also make it extremely hard to hurt and his whole schtick is taking massive damage.

9 Mr. Immortal Survives Everything

Mr Immortal in Great Lakes Avengers

Mr. Immortal's powers are pretty self-explanatory- he can't die. No matter what happens to him, he survives. Joining the misfit team the Great Lakes Avengers, he would become the team's leader and one of its most powerful members, using his abilities to help his team triumph.

While Hulk is almost certainly more durable than Mr. Immortal, he can take more damage than the Hulk because of the nature of his powers. Shots that would kill the Hulk would kill Mr. Immortal as well but he would get up and get back into the fight.

8 Kate Pryde Can't Be Touched

Kate Pryde with Kill Shaw hand tattoos

Kate Pryde has long been one of the best X-Men, using her phasing powers and years of experience to earn her place as one of the team's greatest members. Kate can only take as much damage as any other human. However, when phased, she can just walk through attacks that would end the Hulk.

This ability has served her well over the years, as she has used it to survive everything thrown at her and learned to weaponize her powers as well so she can use them offensively. So, while she isn't more durable than the Hulk unphased, with her powers she can shrug off hits that would kill the Hulk.

7 The Vision's Density Controlling Powers Give Him A Durability Edge Over The Hulk

Vision Avengers

The Vision is one of the most stalwart Avengers of them all. His variety of powers make him formidable but one of them gives him an edge over Hulk, durability-wise. The Vision's ability to control his own density allows him to not only phase through any attack but also to become so dense that's he basically a dwarf star.

This ability would allow him to easily take a greater beating than the Hulk. He can either walk right through the attacks or up his density to insane extents and just shrug the hits off. If the Vision wanted it to be so, no one could hurt him.

6 Colossus Becomes Steel Inside And Out

Colossus Organic Steel Skin

Colossus has long been a clutch member of the X-Men and his powers are actually a lot better than they seem, especially for his durability. See, it's not just that his skin turns to steel but that he basically becomes a living block of steel shaped like a human. He's completely solid steel and doesn't need to eat, drink, or even breath in steel form.

The Hulk is still functionally human, with organs and bones that can be damaged and broken. This isn't something that can happen to Colossus and it's allowed him to take beatings that would even take down the Hulk.

5 Invisible Woman's Force Fields Have Proven Impregnable

Sue Storm in Invisible Woman mini-series

Invisible Woman is easily the most powerful member of the Fantastic Four. Her control over the invisible energy that allows her to evade sight can be used for offensive and defensive means. For defense, she can erect powerful invisible force fields, ones that have proven nearly impossible to pierce. Because of this, she can take a lot more damage than the Hulk.

Basically, no assault can touch her through her invisible force fields. Their durability is only limited by her concentration and she's worked for years to make sure that nothing breaks her focus. This has allowed her to protect herself and others from attacks that would kill the Hulk.

4 Hyperion Is One Of The Most Powerful Heroes Ever

Hyperion flying towards the camera

There have been many versions of Hyperion in the Marvel Universe, each one hailing from another Earth. Some are heroes, like the one who leads the Squadron Supreme or the one who joined the Avengers. Some are evil, like King Hyperion. However, they all have one thing in common- their Eternal physiology has made them pretty much invincible.

Hyperion can take damage that would destroy the Hulk and certain versions of Hyperion have even proven able to defeat the Hulk. The amount of damage it takes to hurt Hyperion is amazing and he shrugs off shots that would eviscerate the Hulk.

3 The Sentry Is One Of The Most Powerful Beings On Earth

The Sentry flying at the reader during Marvel's Civil War

There are few heroes out there who can go toe to toe with the Hulk but the Sentry is one of them. His golden aura has been known to calm the Hulk but it doesn't always work- when the Hulk was the Worldbreaker during World War Hulk, he was able to overcome the calming effect. The two went at it and the Sentry proved to be a match for the Hulk.

The Sentry can take ridiculous amounts of damage. Standing up to Worldbreaker Hulk was just one example of this and there's plenty of others. If anyone can take a greater beating than the Hulk, it's the Sentry.

2 Wolverine's Adamantium Skeleton And Healing Factor Have Allowed Him To Survive Everything Thrown At Him

Wolverine by Adam Kubert

Wolverine is one of the most dangerous people on the planet. There's a lot of reasons for this but two of the biggest are his adamantium skeleton and healing factor, which have allowed him to shrug off attacks by the toughest heroes and villains on Earth, including the Hulk. These two factors are also what has allowed Wolverine to survive attacks that would end the Hulk.

Wolverine can pretty much survive anything, even the atomization of his flesh and organs. His bones are virtually unbreakable, something the Hulk can't boast, and Wolverine has survived attacks that would end the Green Goliath.

1 Deadpool Has The Most Powerful Healing Factor In The Marvel Universe

Deadpool Grim Reaper Art Adams

Lots of heroes and villains have healing factors in the Marvel Universe but the best one belongs to Deadpool. Based on Wolverine and Sabretooth's healing factors, Deadpool can survive any attack- if his head is cut off, he'll live. If he's eaten by piranhas, he'll come back. No attack has ever proven to be enough to keep Deadpool down.

The same can't be said of the Hulk. While the Hulk can take stronger hits than Deadpool without falling apart, Deadpool will always heal after every attack and be ready to fight again. Whereas eventually, the Hulk will go down.
