Thor: Love and Thunder star Brett Goldstein shared some unique ideas on how he'd defeat Chris Hemsworth's Thor.

Speaking with Josh Horowitz on his Happy Sad Confused podcast, Goldstein detailed his experience shooting Love and Thunder as well as his experience playing Hercules. Teasing a potential battle between Thor and Hercules down the line, Goldstein suggested some drastic measures his Greek god could use to gain an advantage should they ever fight. After calling his stand-up comedy career his 'heroin," the British actor suggested using a needle to suppress Thor. “I just think stand-up’s like heroin, like I need to do it to feel normal, sadly… You gotta give yourself one treat," he said. "Does Chris Hemsworth have heroin? No, that’s how I beat him. Heroin. There you go. You can cut the C words. Stick the heroin in there."

Goldstein also joked Hercules could overcome Thor by using his body hair, which Horowitz complimented him on during the interview. Additionally, he claimed Hercules could out-curse Thor considering Hemsworth doesn't swear in conversations. “Yeah, he’s not a swearer. He wouldn’t know what to do. Freak him out," he said.

Goldstein's Hercules made his MCU debut in the post-credits scene of Thor: Love and Thunder. The actor has spoken about how stunned he was to be cast in the role and how he only was contacted about playing the part two weeks before he began filming. Goldstein rose to the challenge and quickly bulked up for the role of the mythological strongman, his appearance in the movie then surprising many viewers.

Thor: Love and Thunder became a box-office smash upon its release last July, raking in over $760 million in worldwide ticket sales. Despite mixed critical reviews and failing to match the gross of its predecessor, Thor: Ragnarok, the star-studded film received praise for its lightheartedness and performances, with Hemsworth winning the People's Choice Award for Male Movie Star of 2022. Thor: Love and Thunder also starred Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Russell Crowe as Zeus.

Known for his role as Roy Kent in the popular sports comedy-drama series Ted Lasso, Goldstein has also starred in Doctor Who, Robot Chicken and the James Bond franchise short film, Spectre of Shame. Last November, Goldstein was added to Sony's upcoming Garfield movie which also stars Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, John Cena and Bill Murray. The animated film, which is based on Jim Davis' classic titular comic strip, premieres in theaters in May 2024.
