The upcoming series Helstrom has announced new cast member Daniel Cudmore, who has plenty of experience with Marvel characters.

The actor will recur as Keith Spivey, a nurse at the psychiatric hospital St. Teresa’s. It's there where he'll cross paths with main characters Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer, whose mother Victoria (Elizabeth Marvel) has been institutionalized for the last 20 years.

Cudmore had his breakout role in a previous Marvel film, playing mutant Peter Rasputin/Colossus. He donned the metallic skin across over a decade, starring in X2X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. He also said he would play a role in Dark Phoenix in 2017, though his appearance turned out to not make the film's final cut.

Cudmore announced in 2015 that he would not reprise the role in Deadpool, declining the offer after being told the voice role would go to a different actor. He is also known for his role as exceptionally strong Volturi vampire Felix in the Twilight film series.

Marvel's Helstorm will focus on Daimon and Ana Helstrom, the son and daughter of "a mysterious and powerful serial killer" who "track down the terrorizing worst of humanity." Daimon Hellstrom, long known as "the Son of Satan," was first introduced in 1973 in Ghost Rider #1, by Roy Thomas and Gary Friedrich.
