Hawkeye executive producer Trinh Tran revealed the upcoming Disney+ limited series will be full of Christmas spirit.

While speaking to TV Guide, Tran delved into the first meeting between the original Hawkeye Clint Barton and his soon-to-be successor Kate Bishop, who worships and has trained for years to be like Clint. "Kate is looking for ways to implement those skills," Tran stated. "That's when she runs into Clint, who has no clue who she is and doesn't really understand her obsession for him."

Tran also called Hawkeye "grounded and funny and packed to the brim with Christmas spirit." However, things in New York City won't be completely merry, as the series takes place after Avengers: Endgame. "The city has, in many ways, recuperated and continued thriving," she concluded, "but the same can't be said for all its citizens."

Hawkeye taking place during Christmas was first alluded to in December 2020, thanks to set photos featuring Clint and Kate actors Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld. Not much is currently known about the plot of Hawkeye, though a recent rumor states Daredevil star Vincent D'Onofrio will reprise his role as the Kingpin in the series.

In addition, Hawkeye will also see the return of Black Widow's Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova and reportedly launch an Echo-centric spinoff, with the title character being played by Alaqua Cox.

Hawkeye premieres Nov. 24 on Disney+.
