Halloween lurks in the distance, and Marvel fans will be treated to reprints of the year's most popular issues during the season of fright.

On Oct. 27, 2021, readers can visit their participating local comic shop (LCS) to once again celebrate Marvel's "Halloween Comic Book Extravaganza." The time normally calls for fear and horror, but fans can instead scream with excitement as they can pick up reprints of some of the most popular issues of 2021. These issues include entry points for newer readers as well, with Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1, Hawkeye #1, Daredevil #28 and Star Wars: The High Republic #1.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1 and Hawkeye #1 can allow readers to become more familiar with the young legacies of the web slinger and archer. Celebrating his 10th anniversary, Miles Morales has risen to new heights following his film debut in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, as well as his solo video game debut in Spider-Man: Miles Morales for the PS5. Meanwhile, Kate Bishop's version of Hawkeye will soon make her live-action debut in the Hawkeye series on Disney+ and be played by Hailee Steinfeld. Thus, these issues will allow fans to become more familiar with the characters as they continue to make their way from the page to screen.

There is another legacy character still making her way through comics as well. While Daredevil fans may already be familiar with Elektra Natchios working alongside (and occasionally fighting) the man without fear, now they can see her make the persona her own after she first donned the suit in Daredevil #25. The following two issues mostly saw Elektra dealing with the massive symbiote invasion during the events of King in Black. In Daredevil #28, readers will start to see her truly take to the streets and fight against the organized crime that plagues New York.

However, Star Wars enthusiasts are not going to be absent from this cantina. Along with Marvel's superhero titles, readers can pick up a copy of Star Wars: The High Republic #1. Not only does the story take place in a galaxy far, far away, but in a time way before the events of any of the Star Wars films and other media. This means readers do not have to know anything at all to just dive right into the story in less than twelve parsecs.

More information will be released in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, readers and fans can check in with their LCS to see if it will be participating in the celebration on the 27th.
