WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Cosmic Ghost Rider #3 by Donny Cates, Dylan Burnett, Antonio Fabela and VC's Clayton Cowles, on sale Wednesday, September 5.

One of the wildest, craziest titles currently being published by Marvel is Donny Cates and Dylan Burnett's Cosmic Ghost Rider. After making his debut in Thanos #13, the Ghost Rider/Herald of Galactus/Black Right Hand of the Mad Titan quickly became a hit with fans, and that's even before it was revealed The Punisher, Frank Castle, was the man behind the flaming skull head.

Cosmic Ghost Rider's popularity earned himself a miniseries that features a deceased Frank Castle going back in time to kill Thanos while the villain is still a baby. Of course, when it came time to pull the trigger, for once in his life Frank just said no. Instead, Frank took Baby Thanos on the run with the hopes of raising him to not become a genocidal maniac. As you can imagine, this has only complicated matters and could possibly bring an end to life as we know it.

Thankfully, there is a group of superheroes who have plans to stop the Cosmic Ghost Rider before he does any more damage to the timestream -- the future Guardians of the Galaxy. A preview of Cosmic Ghost Rider #3 reveals the ream roster in full, which includes a mix of familiar Guardians characters as well as other individuals from across the Marvel Universe.

Leading the future Guardians of the Galaxy is Cable, mostly known as the time-traveling X-Man in charge of X-Force. Cable lets the readers at home know they come from a divergent future that was created when Frank kidnapped and raised the infant Thanos.

The member who got a lot of attention when the cover to Cosmic Ghost Rider #3 was released is the Unstoppable Juggerduck. At some point in the future, Howard the Duck becomes the new owner of the gem of Cyttorak. Just imagine Howard the size of the original Juggernaut, and you have the Juggerduck.

Filling the role of Captain Marvel is Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel. One would rightfully assume Kamala would grow up to adopt the Captain Marvel moniker from her idol, Carol Danvers, but it looks like Kamala will also pick up the Captain America shield, perhaps because of Frank's meddling with time.

A familiar face to Guardians of the Galaxy fans is Rocket. But instead of packing an oversized blaster in his hands, Rocket has suited up in the Iron Groot mech-suit, which is made out of Groot -- nope, not the least bit creepy at all.

Last but not least is the X-Man Jubilee, who looks pretty much the same here as she does in the past. Jubilee is still rocking a yellow jacket (though much shorter than what she usually wears) and shades, demonstrating her mutant powers to create pyrotechnic energy blasts that come across as a fireworks display.

The Cosmic Ghost Rider #3 preview ends before revealing what comes of the confrontation between the protagonist and the future Guardians, but with the Cosmic Ghost Rider as a wildcard, there is no telling what damage will be done to himself, others or time itself once the dust settles.
