Marvel Future Fight Welcomes the Phoenix Five and More X-Men to the Battle

The popular mobile game Marvel Future Fight has a large update launching today that adds three fan-favorite characters to the action while providing new outfits and power sets for several classic X-Men.

Inspired by the Phoenix Five appearing at the end of the classic comic book story Avengers vs. X-Men, the update includes Phoenix Five outfits for Cyclops, Emma Frost, Colossus and Magik, with new ultimate attacks unleashing the Phoenix Force on their enemies. Kitty Pryde, Quentin Quire and Rachel Summers have also been added as new playable characters. Future Fight developer Netmarble Corp has released a trailer showcasing the new heroes and upgraded characters in battle.

Also included in the update is the option for players to visit the Danger Room for 3v3 battles against computer-generated teams and bosses, with its own set of exclusive rewards.

The Phoenix Five appeared during Avengers vs. X-Men after the Phoenix Force fragmented into five separate pieces possessing Cyclops, Emma Frost, Colossus, Magik and Namor, significantly augmenting their power but making them more volatile. The Avengers banded together with the remaining X-Men to defeat the group and restore them to normal.
