Throg will finally get the recognition he deserves in this new role following the conclusion of the "Revelations" story arc in Thor #17, which sees Mjolnir go missing as Thor finally ascends as King of Asgard. Frog Thor, wielder of Frogjolnir, first debuted in the 1986 comic Thor #364. While his original name was Puddlegup with an alter ego named Simon Walterson, the character officially became Throg in 2017.

The Frog of Thunder previously appeared in Thor #11 through #15, and will be seen again in Oct. 2021 for Thor #18.
