Marvel's Ghost Rider has been a member of the Avengers, Midnight Suns, Defenders and a number of other teams, but the character will soon be working with a totally new group of people -- the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

In the October 2022 solicitations for Marvel Comics, the publisher revealed new information for the upcoming Ghost Rider #7. The synopsis for the issue indicates Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider will be enlisted into working with the government unit after a recent spike in unusual paranormal activity. Cover art for the issue also shows Johnny holding a F.B.I. badge with his name on it.

Marvel Enlists Ghost Rider in the Most Shocking Team Yet

The synopsis for Ghost Rider #7 reads, "SHADOW HUNTERS! There’s a new splinter group within the F.B.I. that is charged with quelling the rise in supernatural activity in the country, and it's helmed by Agent Talia Warroad, who aims to enlist the dangerous power of the drifter named Johnny Blaze!"

The Road to Ghost Rider's New Team

The current Ghost Rider run launched in February. The series has seen Johnny Blaze awaken from a seemingly perfect world only to then take on a host of monstrous threats. The third issue of the series pits him up against a ghostly, Stephen King-like semi-truck, while Ghost Rider #4 places Johnny in a nightmarish circus run by the undead. Meanwhile, agents Talia Warroad and Horace Whilmer have been investigating the recent paranormal incidents, putting them on an inevitable collision course with the Spirit of Vengence.
