Empyre has hinted at several world-shaking changes for the Avengers and Fantastic Four, and that includes cosmetic changes as well.

During Marvel Comics' Next Big Thing panel at Comic-Con@Home, writers Al Ewing and Dan Slott teased that Iron Man would receive a new set of armor designed by Valero Schiti. "Have they seen it yet?!" Slott asked editor Tom Brevoort, who said, "no," as only two issues have been released. "OOOOOH!" Slott replied.

Iron Man is no stranger to debuting new armors during an event. He designed a massive new Hulkbuster armor to battle The Hulk and his Warbound in World War Hulk and created a "Phoenix-Buster" armor during the events of Avengers vs. X-Men.

Empyre features the Avengers and Fantastic Four joining forces to battle the combined might of the Kree and Skrull empires, which have been united by the former Young Avenger Hulkling. However, unbeknownst to Hulking, the plant-like Coati are responsible for igniting the war between both sides.

Empyre #2, by Al Ewing, Dan Slott and Valerio Schiti, is now on sale from Marvel Comics. Issue #3 goes on sale July 29.
