This September, Marvel Comics will bring its latest Doctor Strange series to an end.

In Marvel's September solicits, the description for Mark Waid and Jesus Saiz's Doctor Strange #20 confirms that it will be the last issue in the run. "This event is so huge that it makes this the last issue of Doctor Strange!" the synopsis declares. However, it offers no further details about the story inside, simply calling it "an event so epic shakes Doctor Strange to the core and makes him completely reevaluate his life and role."

The cover for the issue shows Stephen Strange deep in meditation, his hands glowing with some incantation. He is so lost in thought he doesn't notice the figure lurking in the darkness behind him. Upon closer inspection, that figure appears to be Kanna, who wields what looks like a mystical weapon akin to the Soul Sword.

Waid and Barry Kitson's Doctor Strange #15, the next issue in the series, goes on sale June 26. The full cover and solicitation appear below.
