Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige commented on the possibility of Marvel Cinematic Universe television shows on Disney+ running for multiple seasons.

"It will vary," Feige explained to Variety. "There are some shows that have been built to further expand our storytelling and then go into features. We've already announced Lizzie Olsen being a part of Doctor Strange 2. We've announced Teyonah Parris being part of Captain Marvel 2. There are some shows that, while always interconnected, are being built with multiple seasons in mind."

"So it'll vary the way a lot of, I think, great TV now varies," Feige continued. "Whether it's a couple of years between seasons of Game of Thrones or Stranger Things or one-offs like -- what did I just watch? -- Queen's Gambit. One of the fun things about streaming is the rules are loose, which allows for you to just follow creatively where you want to go."

Recently, it was reported that Loki showrunner Michael Waldron would be involved in a second season of the show while another report indicated that the second season of Loki would begin shooting in January 2022. However, a second season for Loki has never been officially confirmed. Meanwhile, there have been no other reports, to date, of second season orders for shows like WandaVision or The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

WandaVision will kick off a new era of Marvel Studios providing original programming for the streaming service Disney+. Among the titles slated for release on the service within the next year are The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye.

WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. The series premieres Jan. 15 on Disney+.
