The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has meant that many comics publishers have had to implement new procedures in order to support retailers. Marvel Comics is the latest to do so, offering a deep discount on all of its titles.

In a statement released to Newsarama, Marvel Entertainment's president Dan Buckley spoke about the discount, as well as other supplemental measures. From March 18th to April 8th, all Marvel titles with have deep discounts in addition to the usual retailer discounts in order to help support retailers and customer demand.

Buckley also said that current retailer discounts will be preserved even if orders decrease. These measures will be implemented immediately.

Other comic publishers have offered deals to retailers or alternatives to get their comics out to customers during the quarantine. Image Comics has offered returns and canceled "nonessential releases" such as second printings and reprints; Devil's Due Comics has made its entire digital library free to download; AfterShock Comics has delayed shipments of its upcoming titles, and Comixology has offered a sixty-day free trial for its unlimited option, which has 25,000 titles in stock.

Companies of all kinds have been struggling during the pandemic, and people are coming up with creative alternatives to the usual business strategies.
