In March's Despicable Deadpool #296, Marvel Comics readers will finally see a confrontation that's been more than a year in the making: the showdown between Wade Wilson and Steve Rogers.

Marvel Comics' solicitations for March 2018 reveal that Deadpool will pay a visit to Captain America, looking for payback for the events of this year's Secret Empire.
At the height of that event, the evil version of Steve Rogers, who was still posing as a hero, used his connection with Wade Wilson to send the mercenary on a dark mission: to eliminate S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson, who had discovered Steve's true allegiances to Hydra. Captain America used his reputation to convince Deadpool to pull the trigger, without telling him why.

Although Wade wasn't entirely comfortable with the assignment, he did it anyway, believing Captain America to be above reproach. But then, poor Deadpool learned who that Steve really was -- Hydra's supreme leader. And now, Wade's looking to make things right. But which Steve will he go looking for? The real Captain America, or his evil doppelganger?
