On the heels of last week's poster debut comes the first trailer for Marvel Studios' "Thor: The Dark World." The teaser clocks in at 1:45 and offers fans a first real look at the highly anticipated sequel featuring the return of Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and, of course, Tom Hiddleston in the role of Thor's evil half-brother Loki.

Directed by Alan Taylor and releasing November 8, "Thor: The Dark World" also stars returning cast members Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Tandanobu Asano, Jamie Alexander and Rene Russo with new additions Christopher Eccleston, Zachary Levi and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Marvel Studios' "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel's "Thor" and "Marvel's The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
