Marvel's Carnage has not only been making Spider-Man's life a nightmare for decades now, but he's also unleashed Maximum Carnage all across the universe. Not to be undone, he came back and did it again with Absolute Carnage. While Carnage could certainly unleash Infinity Carnage on the 616 anytime he chooses, he might also want to broaden his horizons and target a new universe.

Arriving in the DC Universe, Carnage would instantly look to break out Absolute Maximum Carnage, but he'd most certainly be met with opposition - from the villains of DC! If anyone's going to wreak havoc on their world it's going to be them, not some symbiote suit-wearing outsider! Here's a look at five DC villains Carnage can defeat as well as five that he would lose to.

10 Defeat: Heat Wave

As one of the Flash's most dangerous rogues, Heat Wave's deadly heat gun gives him a powerful weapon to use against Carnage, as his symbiote is vulnerable to fire.

Heat Wave doesn't necessarily need to hit Carnage with his gun for it to be effective, as it can increase the ambient temperature of a surrounding area. He does, though, need to do this before Carnage can get to him, and since Carnage is not only fast but can strike from a distance, that's not going to happen.

9 Lose To: Silver Banshee

Another one of Carnage's weaknesses is sonics, and while those alone aren't enough to defeat him, when you combine that with someone with incredible strength, his odds of winning are greatly reduced. Enter Silver Banshee.

Silver Banshee can kill with her Death Wail, and even with a stare if she knows her victim's name. Assuming Carnage doesn't blurt out that he's Cletus Kasady during the fight, he should be safe from her Death Stare, but between her Death Wail, her ability to teleport, and having strength on par with Superman, the deck is greatly stacked against Carnage.

8 Defeat: Solomon Grundy

Solomon Grundy rises out of the swamp in DC Comics

Solomon Grundy is another villain in the DC Universe with super-strength, though his strength level varies from incarnation to incarnation. Any time Grundy dies, he will be reborn again, and sometimes he has peak-human level strength while other times his strength makes him one of the strongest beings in all of DC.

Carnage will be more than happy to kill Grundy as many times as needed to get to the super-strong version, and when he finally gets there, his speed advantage will still be enough to win him the day.

7 Lose To: Circe

Beating the eternal zombie Grundy may have Carnage feeling extra cocky and lead him to believe he can take on any magical beings in the DC Universe. He'll learn how wrong he is when he meets Circe.

Circe is one of the most powerful magic users in all of DC, so Carnage is severely outgunned against her. One of her favorite uses of her power is to turn people into animals, and she would love to bring Carnage on board as an ultra vicious attack dog.

6 Defeat: Bane

Bane and Carnage both rose to prominence in the '90s, Carnage with Maximum Carnage and Bane when he broke Batman's back during Knightfall. As '90s darlings still thriving today, a fight between the two is long overdue.

As brilliant a strategist as Bane is, strategy goes out the window against someone as maniacal as Carnage. And despite Bane's outstanding hand-to-hand combat skills, Carnage is far too powerful for him to defeat with his fists. Even if Bane used the Venom drug in his fight, he's still far too overmatched by Carnage.

5 Lose To: General Zod

General Zod With Lightning Striking Behind Him

Going back to the '90s, Marvel/DC crossovers were semi-common back then. One that got lost in the shuffle was DC/Marvel All Access. In the first issue, Venom made his way to Metropolis and basically kicked Superman's butt. Carnage is stronger than Venom, and due to more yellow sun exposure, Superman is stronger than General Zod, so by that logic Carnage should be able to beat Zod.

All Access isn't canon, so that fight needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Even if it were, Superman never once used his heat vision against Venom. If Zod were having difficulties against Carnage, the strategic general could simply fly out of his range and incinerate Carnage with his heat vision, like Superman should have done against Venom.

4 Defeat: Deathstroke

The DC Universe isn't lacking for great strategists, and chief among them is Deathstroke, as he's able to utilize 90% of his brain's capacity. All his physical abilities are enhanced and he even has a bit of a healing factor. If Deathstroke were hired to take down Carnage, would he be able to get the job done?

Unfortunately for Deathstroke, unless he got a major upgrade in his weaponry he would fail in his mission. Swords and guns just aren't going to cut it against the likes of Carnage.

3 Lose To: Mirror Master

Mirror Master

The Flash Rogues stick together, so when Mirror Master finds out what Carnage did to Heat Wave he'll be out for revenge. But can he succeed where Heat Wave failed?

Thanks to his Mirror Gun, Mirror Master is one of the Flash's most dangerous rogues. One shot from it will land Carnage a one-way ticket into the Mirror World. Granted, he has to hit Carnage with it to get him there, but if he can zap the Fastest Man Alive with it he can certainly hit Carnage, especially after he fools him with mirror duplicates of himself.

2 Defeat: The Joker

How do you combat pure insanity? With even more pure insanity! The Joker and Carnage have bad blood going back to the Spider-Man and Batman: Disordered Minds crossover, and now it's time to settle the score.

The Joker may have walked away from his last encounter with Carnage, but he won't be so lucky this time around. Despite the numerous gag weapons at his disposal, none of them will be able to take Carnage out, while he can rip Joker to shreds easily enough. Luckily for Joker, he always seems to bounce back - it sure does help that there's three of him.

1 Lose To: Doomsday

What happens when Maximum Carnage meets Doomsday, the ultimate killing machine? Absolute Doomsday!

The most powerful person Carnage ever went up against in the Marvel Universe was the Sentry, and he literally ripped Carnage in half. Whether Doomsday is as strong as the Sentry is a conversation for another time, but he is plenty strong enough to put Carnage down in minutes - likely by ripping him in half.
