Daredevil is one of Marvel Comics' most established characters so it's not surprising that his most collectible appearances are worth a fair amount of money. While their value has gone up and down over the years, Daredevil's brand is likely on the rise again with a new Disney+ series in production and Charlie Cox reprising his role as the Devil Of Hell's Kitchen.

10 Daredevil #37-38 (1968)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$30, Mid~$60, High~$110 | Record Sales: $4,800 & $5,500

This key pair of Daredevil books features a classic battle between Daredevil and Dr. Doom that spans two issues. The powerful despot of the Kingdom of Latveria is a classic Marvel villain whose appearance in the MCU's Phase 5 is all but confirmed at this stage.

Dr. Doom is still a fan-favorite supervillain despite multiple misfires in Fantastic Four films, especially in the abysmal Fant4stic (2015). A strong showing in the MCU could do a lot to improve Victor Von Doom's reputation and enhance the value of this classic story.

9 Daredevil #168 (1981)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$120, Mid~$170, High~$350 | Record Sale: $3,799

First appearance of Elektra, Daredevil #168, cover and reprint cover in Marvel Comics

Daredevil #168 marks the first appearance and origin of Elektra Natchios, Daredevil's quintessential love interest, and occasional antagonist. Aside from the character's introduction, the issue is also famous for incorrectly spelling Elektra's name as "Elecktra" on the cover, which actually adds to its appeal as a collectible.

Daredevil #168 is also the first issue where Frank Miller made his writing debut on the title. Miller's usually credited with redefining and reinvigorating Daredevil as a hero, so this definitely increases the book's value. This classic debut issue was also reprinted in 2005 (above, right) with a variant cover.

8 Daredevil #16-17 (1966)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$15, Mid~$65, High~$425+ | Record Sales: $5,300 & $7,750

Daredevil and Spidey Take Down Masked Marauder in Marvel Comics

Spider-Man is still Marvel's most popular team-up character and this classic story highlights the clash between and subsequent cooperation between two of comics' greatest street-level heroes. Aside from being the first appearance of Spider-Man in Daredevil's books, this issue also marks the debut of the Masked Marauder, a relatively obscure Marvel villain who challenges the two heroes.

This also was the late, legendary John Romita Sr.'s first Spider-Man artwork at Marvel. Despite the Masked Marauder being an unlikely addition to the MCU at best, known quantities like an early team-up between Spider-Man and Horn Head make this book quite valuable.

7 Daredevil #43 (1968)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$95, Mid~$120, High~$550+ | Record Sale: $1,700

Daredevil battles Captain America for the first time in Marvel Comics

This issue showcases the first battle between Daredevil and Captain America. It's a classic crossover issue that retains its value fairly well if the copy in question is in very good to near-mint condition.

Finding the comic will prove to be a challenge for Daredevil completionists, though, since Captain America collectors are also likely on the hunt for it. However, for its price range, this issue can be considered a bargain since you're essentially getting two characters' big crossover fight for the price of one issue.

6 Daredevil #4 (1964)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$200, Mid~$525, High~$900 | Record Sale: $7,250

A split image of the Purple Man in Marvel Comics and Kilgrave whispering into Jessica Jones's ear in live-action.

Daredevil #4 marks the first appearance of the Purple Man aka Zebediah Kilgrave, an usually overlooked Marvel villain played to terrifying effect by David Tennant on Netflix's Jessica Jones. Killgrave's a genuine global threat, able to control the minds of anyone he gets close to effortlessly. The fact he faced a street-level hero in his first outing is an interesting anomaly.

Unfortunately, Kilgrave didn't appear in Netflix's Daredevil series since he was Jessica Jones' iconic antagonist in her series' first season. On the flip side, Tennant's brilliant performance catapulted Purple Man from obscurity to stardom. This also increased the selling prices of Kilgrave's key comic book appearances.

5 Daredevil #131 (1976)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$120, Mid~$240, High~$1200 | Record Sale: $3,351

Bulleye's first fight with Daredevil in Marvel Comics

The first appearance and origin of the master assassin Bullseye is highly coveted by Daredevil comic book collectors. Since the final season of Netflix's Daredevil showcased a version of the character if he returns in the Disney+ series the price of this key issue has the potential to spike beyond its current fair market price.

Since the Kingpin has already returned to the MCU, Bullseye might also show up as a villain or even antihero. It's impossible to know if this would affect this issue's market value but this still could be the right time to strike and add this gem to a Daredevil collection.

4 Daredevil #2 (1964)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$60, Mid~$1000, High~$2000 | Record Sale: $48,000

Daredevil faces Electro and the Fantastic Four in Marvel Comics

Daredevil #2 features the Spider-Man villain Electro's second appearance, as well as a guest appearance of the Fantastic Four in the Daredevil comic books. If Matt Murdock becomes the MCU's cameo specialist, this story could provide the basis for an appearance in future Fantastic Four films.

Like She-Hulk, Daredevil is a skilled lawyer. Now that she's paved the way for specialists in superhuman law, it would honestly make sense for the FF to have someone like him on retainer. Obviously, the fact that this is only the second issue of Daredevil also plays a role in its value. As a result, if the character gets more popular, the book's value may rise even further.

3 Daredevil #7 (1965)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$70, Mid~$750, High~$2,100+ | Record Sale: $40,000

Daredevil fights Namor the Sub-Mariner and Spider-Man in Marvel Comics

Marvel's perennial antihero Namor the Sub-Mariner is making a big splash with his MCU debut in Wakanda Forever. He's one of Marvel's most underrated characters, a chief rival of the Fantastic Four, a founding member of the Defenders, and the powerful ruler of Atlantis.

This Daredevil issue marks Namor's first appearance alongside Daredevil. Its value comes in part from the fact that it's also the first appearance of Daredevil's red costume, replacing the eye-searing red-and-yellow pajamas he sported earlier. This let Marvel's fans take the hero seriously more easily. Coupled with the fact that Namor's popularity is taking off, this already pricey book's value could jump as the Atlantean prince take his place in the MCU.

2 The Amazing Spider-Man #16 (1964)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$100, Mid~$1000, High~$17,000+ | Record Sale: $36,000

Daredevil and Spider-Man fight under the Ringmaster's influence in Marvel Comics

This Spider-Man comic book issue marks the first meeting between Webhead and Daredevil. With Spider-Man controlled by the Ringmaster's hypnotic hat, they engage in the traditional superhero battle.

Since Daredevil's started showing up in the MCU in shows like She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, fans are hungry to see him in other franchises. Given Matt Murdock's long friendship with Peter Parker in Marvel Comics, the next Spider-Man film does seem like a good place for Daredevil to make his return. This book's value is already through the rough but a strong team-up in the MCU could push its price even higher.

1 Daredevil #1 (1964)

Price Range By Grade: Low~$600, Mid~$6,500, High~$10,000+ | Record Sale: $250,000

Daredevil #1 is Hornhead's first appearance and origin, making its appeal to collectors obvious. The fact that this story has been adapted both in 2003's Ben Affleck film and in the Charlie Cox Netflix series certainly didn't hurt its value. While the low-end price for this book is in the hundreds, even Fair copies of this issue are currently selling for $2000-$3000.

Establishing Matt Murdock's supporting cast from the start, Daredevil #1 is also Foggy Nelson's and Karen Page's first appearance, making this essentially the holy grail of Daredevil comics, especially since they came off great in the aforementioned Netflix series. Like DD himself, these characters are also likely to play substantial roles in the MCU's Phase 5. This book is very expensive but it's not a bad investment for a wealthy collector.
