Talent from a handful of canceled Marvel Netflix series will be joining the crew of Echo, as the writers behind key episodes of Daredevil and The Punisher have been tapped to work on the upcoming Disney+ show.

Writers Dara Resnik and Ken Kristensen are set to bring their experiences scribing street-level superheroes to the scripts of Echo, according to The Illuminerdi. Resnik, who wrote two episodes for Season 3 of Daredevil, and Kristensen, who wrote three episodes of The Punisher, will be joining the writing staff of Echo alongside Shoshannah Stern (Supernatural), Bobby Wilson (Rutherford Falls) and lead writer Marion Dayre (Better Call Saul).

Audiences may recall that Resnik penned the script for Season 3, Episode 8 of Daredevil ("Upstairs/Downstairs"), which explored the inner psyche of Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye -- a character who, like Maya Lopez/Echo, was adopted by the crimelord Kingpin. Resnik also co-wrote the script for Season 3, Episode 11 ("Reunion"), which saw the lead trio of Foggy, Karen and Matt Murdock/Daredevil reconciling and Kingpin declaring Daredevil a public menace in an impassioned speech.

Meanwhile, Kristensen wrote Season 1, Episode 10 of The Punisher ("Virtue Of The Vicious"), which featured both a critical exploration of veterans and law enforcement officers and a close-quarters combat sequence set in a stairwell. Kristensen also wrote the script for Season 2, Episode 3 ("Trouble the Water"), which saw the titular vigilante (Jon Bernthal) at his most lethal. Kristensen's next entry was Season 2, Episode 9 ("Flustercluck"), which gave Frank Castle/The Punisher a sidekick of sorts in young Amy after a bounty is placed on both their heads.

Disney+ previously confirmed the upcoming Echo series with a new logo. The series will be produced by Marvel Studios and follow the titular deaf Native American superhero, as portrayed by Alaqua Cox. At the time the series was announced, Cox admitted, "Hawkeye is my first experience of acting. Now I'm going to get my own show in the MCU? It's wild."

Though Echo plot details remain scarce, the Maya Lopez character was first introduced in the Disney+ series Hawkeye as the commander of the Tracksuit Mafia alongside mercenary Kazimierz "Kazi" Kazimierczak (Fra Fee). In fact, Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld are both rumored to make appearances in Echo, with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige even confirming that Hawkeye's story arc will lead directly into the plot of Echo.

All episodes of Hawkeye are streaming now on Disney+. Echo has yet to receive a premiere date.
