The final issue of Daredevil features two of Matt Murdock's major villains tying the knot -- Kingpin and Typhoid Mary.

The pair are set to take wedding vows in Daredevil #36, the finale of writer Chip Zdarsky's run on the title. The issue sees Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin and currently serving as the mayor of New York City, preparing to marry Typhoid Mary after wooing her in a romance that has been slowly building over the course of the comic's last two years.

"I know writers like to say things like 'it's all been building toward this!!' but, really, it has," Zdarsky said. "When I sat down to write issue one, I knew that this issue was waiting and that it was going to drastically alter the lives of the Daredevil cast. Issue 36 is NOT an ending, it’s a beginning."

Zdarsky's run on Daredevil has seen Matt Murdock go behind bars and Elektra Natchios step up to serve as the protector of Hell's Kitchen. While the series might end with Issue 36, Kingpin and Typhoid Mary's union is unlikely to proceed without hurdles, and the future of Elektra -- who has recently been outmaneuvered and outgunned by Bullseye -- as the inheritor of Murdock's legacy still remains to be seen.
