Daredevil is one of the most iconic characters in the entire Marvel universe. Having a feature-length film, cameo appearances in cartoons, video games and a critically acclaimed Netflix show, it's fair to say that Daredevil has been well received with the general public. And with popularity comes cosplays, some of which portray the character with so much justice and power, he practically leapt right out of the page. Thanks to the character's numerous redesigns over the years, this has given fans a lot of creative freedom as to how to approach the character.

Here are the 10 awesome Daredevil cosplays that best represents the man who shows no fear.

10 A Classic Look With Modern Design

A collaboration with whitesheepleather and migranstudio, maximum.khanage combines the Netflix armored design of Daredevil with the vibrant colors from the character's original debut. For those that may have not read the Daredevil comics, the character was originally a swash buckler type character with a unique yellow and red spandex design by Marvel Artist Bill Everett.

It was only later in the character's run did his costume go entirely red. This cosplay design helps capture that classic time while maintaining the modern sensibilities that many fans love all over the world.

9 The Lawyer and The Devil

This impressive character piece by captcash helps illustrate the harsh dichotomy between the man and the superhero. One of the defining features on the Man Without Fear is how both of his identities are at war with one another. Always in constant conflict and turmoil. With that, viewers can see this dynamic from one picture alone, with a wounded Murdock "looking" straight at the blood-red helmet of Daredevil. It's stated that a picture can tell a thousand words, and this is a perfect example of that, about whether it's worth being the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.

8 Back In Black

Going into another direction compared to maximum.khanage's yellow and red design, the outfit designed by cosplayer the_lawless_gentleman is one that is both sleek and comic book accurate with a unique twist. Taking cues from the recent Daredevil comics where the character is back in black, the cosplayer designs the suit to be a mixture between the Season 1 Netflix design while maintaining the helmet of the Daredevil comics. In a sense, this could've been what viewers would see if the Daredevil show continued, getting closer and closer to the sleek red design of the comics.

7 "I'm Not Daredevil"

One of the more comedic aspects of Daredevil's career. When Mark Waid first took over the comic book series as the writer, he brought the character back to his happier roots. One of the moments that helped define the character was when Matt Murdock went to his law offices with a sweater that says "I'm Not Daredevil," wearing a devil horn headband and a literal candy cane. A sharp contrast from the character's darker roots defined by writers like Frank Miller. With that, axemir_Cosplay shows that playful nature in spades right down to the piece of greenery at the end of Murdock's cane.

6 A Fusion Between Spider & Devil

One of the more unique designs on this list, spidey_verse based his cosplay off of a spider-sona, which is essentially creating an original character as a fictional "Spider-Man". What this cosplayer did was create a costume based on the design of dbarrett_art which is a mixture of Spider-Man and Daredevil.

The result is a design that is fairly well balanced, with mostly Spider-Man as the main DNA, but definitely keeping the Daredevil aspects intact. Plus, the oni mask is such a killer design choice for a Daredevil Esque Spider-man character.

5 A Killer Romance

One of the most important people in Daredevil's life is the femme-fatale Elektra and in this cosplay photo, the relationship is done incredibly well. However, what's interesting to note is the spandex design of Daredevil's costume worn by cosplayer marcopachec0.

A breath of fresh air from the more armorized designs from other cosplayers, the spandex of marcopacheco0 is super textured with the helmet being the only thing that maintains any form of armor. Arguably a perfect version of the classic Daredevil design when judging it purely from the source material.

4 A Devil In Shadow

An all-black version of the classic suit, the design created by _daredevil_dd could arguably be what Daredevil would realistically look like if the Netflix show was taken in a different direction. For starters, rather than be intricately sewn in armor, the approach here is that it seems to be a mash-up of different kevlar pieces that are bolted or belted together. Combined with the popular black color scheme, the cosplayer succeeds in having the costume design be of his own making while maintaining the overall character design of the Man Without Fear. Interpretation with respect.

3 A Possible Evolution

What if the Netflix series continued past Season 3. That is what knightcosplay_ succeeds in doing with his interpretation of the Man Without Fear. Taking a sleek approach to the armor, the design looks like a possibility of what would happen if Matt Murdock redesigned or made his costume sleeker.

As opposed to the official version which is fairly bulky, knightcosplay_ made it look like the perfect blend between comic books and the show. Being a happy marriage between the two. If this was what the suit would look like in Season 4, it would be possible that fans would love it.

2 A Blind Devil "Sees"

Possibly showing the humanity within the mask, the absolute detail that's on the suit is almost Netflix levels of quality. Worn by cosplayer voyagercosplayer, the shot is framed to only show his face. Although his eyes are tinted red, viewers only need a glimpse to see the melancholic thought process behind the Man Without Fear.

That's an important trait with Daredevil. The inner turmoil and thinking of whether what he's doing is right or wrong. That Catholic-esque mentality is what makes the character and although it might not be intentional, this is something the cosplayer definitely succeeded in portraying.

1 Showing The Man Behind The Mask

Once again showing the humanity of the Daredevil character, the bloodied and bruised design as portrayed by jack_walshy96 is one of the most successful portrayals of Matt Murdock the person. Similar to the Netflix posters that came during Season 1, the cosplayer portrays the character with hidden enjoyment of what he does. That although he must maintain himself as a lawyer, it can only be so much before the devil is let out. With just a little smirk and body language, the cosplayer succeeds in this with flying red colors, literally.
