To coincide with the launch of the Marvel Cinematic Universe film EternalsContest of Champions is hosting a special themed event.

Developer Kabam announced that the new Eternals content will be added to the game at some point in November. This update will include a Limited-Timed Event Quest based on the upcoming movie. Beyond this new adventure, players who log into the game between Nov. 5 and Dec. 15 will be gifted with a free three-star Ikaris and Sersi. To celebrate the arrival of the two immortal defenders, artist BossLogic debuted official artwork of the in-game characters players can expect to find in Contest of Champions Update V33.0. The beloved pop culture artist first teased their involvement in the game with a brief video posted to Instagram.

"After the chaos and destruction left in Knull’s wake, Nova has recruited you and two mysterious new arrivals to start proactively tackling cosmic threats," reads the description of Update V33.0. "First up: The Heralds of Galactus! Are Ikaris and Sersi up to the task of rounding up these cosmic renegades? What discovery lies hidden deep within the Quantum Realm, and why does it spell certain doom for the entire Battlerealm?"

Marvel Contest of Champions players will also be able to participate in the Cataclysm event. As described by Kabam, "Numerous world-ending threats, from rampaging robots to dimensional disruptors, are finding their way into The Contest! You’re going to need some help, luckily you’ll be able to team up with Ikaris and Sersi each week to drive back these dangerous foes!"

Beyond these new additions, Update V33.0 also includes a new Back Issues #8 - Deadpooloza (themed around the Merc with the Mouth), access to the Fight Summary beta and a host of bug fixes and patches.
