Confirming numerous rumors and reports, Marvel.com has posted the official casting announcement of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen in Joss Whedon's "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." As rumored, Taylor-Johnson will play Quicksilver while Olsen is onboard as the Scarlet Witch.

While Marvel's announcement makes the casting completely official, reports had already surfaced that Taylor-Johnson closed a deal to play Quicksilver at the end of October, while Olsen confirmed her involvement in the film after months of rumor during an interview in mid-November.

Although no other casting for the film has been officially announced other than James Spader as Ultron, Olsen and Taylor-Johnson will presumably also join Marvel Cinematic Universe alumni Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson in the sequel, which is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015.
