Marvel Comics' Young Guns: Past and Future

Official Press Release

At the end of 2004, six artists were handpicked by Marvel to represent the next great wave of artists destined to change the world of comics. Those six artists became known as the Young Guns and included Steve McNiven, Adi Granov, David Finch, Trevor Hairsine, Jim Cheung, and Olivier Coipel.

Working on the biggest books in the industry, the Young Guns amassed more and more fans with each spectacular issue they worked on. The term Young Gun came to be synonymous with excellence as the original six went on to make their mark as comic greats.

Their arrival was heralded in a Young Guns sketchbook that previewed the major projects that the six artists would be undertaking. They also provided a variant cover each for the first six issues of New Avengers, making it a consistent #1 seller each month.

A few years have passed and the Young Guns have evolved into Marvel's Heavy Artillery. Now, a new group of artists are rising up, locked and loaded to change the industry once again. The Young Guns will be reloaded in four days.....
