Marvel Comics has released a teaser for "Dawn of X," which more than likely is connected to writer Jonathan Hickman's upcoming run on the X-Men franchise with the House of X and Powers of X miniseries.
The official Marvel Twitter account posted the new X-Men logo created by Tom Muller with the message, "Dawn of X. All Will Be Revealed. Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing Panel at SDCC - July 20. 1:45 PM. #DawnofX #MarvelComics."
Information regarding "Dawn of X" will be revealed during the publisher's Next Big Thing Panel Saturday afternoon at Comic-Con International in San Diego. At this time it is unclear if "Dawn of X" is a new title to spin out of House of X and Powers of X, or if this is the official name the two miniseries will be referred to going forward.
Hickman previously revealed House of X and Powers of X will lead into a relaunch of the X-Men franchise, with Hickman writing the flagship title.
"At the conclusion of our 12 weeks of HOX and POX, we'll be launching an entire new universe of X-books," Hickman said. "Some will be traditional fare, some carry through on ideas presented in HOX and POX. Some books are completely new concepts. I, personally, will be writing the ongoing flagship X-book."
House of X #1 goes on sale July 24, followed by Powers of X #1 on sale July 31.
Comic-Con International in San Diego runs Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21. The schedules for each day are available on the convention website.
