Vision has had many relationships, be they based on shared attraction or unrequited love. In any case, Vision is apparently one very desirable synthezoid, given how many relationships he's had. Let's take a look at just a few of his most memorable relationships.

10 Scarlet Witch Was Vision's First Love

This is Vision's longest and possibly most stable relationship in the comics. Shortly after meeting during the Kree-Skrull War, Vision and the Scarlet Witch started a love affair that culminated in a wedding with Immortus presiding.

Later, the Vision tried to take over the world thanks to a control crystal placed within him by Ultron. This led to the couple's retirement, which subsequently resulted in the two starting a family. They later rejoined the Avengers, which ultimately led to Vision being disassembled and the loss of Wanda's sons to Mephisto. Without a personality to cling to after his destruction and rebirth, Vision saw no need to continue the marriage to Wanda and left.

9 Vision's Hot Night With Jocasta

detail from vision #1 (1994)

This was a mostly one-sided relationship on Jocasta's side. Vision saw her as an android confidant but did not return her affections. Given that Vision was happily married to Wanda, nothing much came of it.

Under the influence of the villain Tabula Rasa and the Anti-Vision, Vision did have a fling with Jocasta. However, they were both under the impression that they were characters in a detective story. Once the Vision was free of control, he again had little romantic interest in Jocasta.

8 Laura Lipton And The Vision's Posthumous Love Affair

Avengers #348 cover detail

The Vision regained a level of emotions when he accepted the brainwave pattern of Alex Lipton, a dead police officer. His widow Laura enlisted the Vision's aid in granting the dying wish of Alex's father: to be with his son again.

Vision underwent a process to bring Alex Lipton's personality to the fore and sat up all night with Lipton's father. Before the personality went away, Vision and Laura shared a kiss. After she walked away, Vision's teammate Crystal confirmed that Alex's personality never took over, and Vision had pretended to give Alex Lipton's father and widow some closure.

7 Carol Danvers Went On A Date With Vision

the first date for Vision and Carol Danvers

As Wanda was beginning a new relationship with Wonder Man, the Vision sought to go on with his life and try dating another Avenger. In front of his ex-wife and the other Avengers, he asked out Carol Danvers. She was as shocked as anyone, but agreed once Wanda gave her blessing.

The two went on a date, jet skiing at Vision's suggestion. He then turned on his image inducer and took her for hot dogs. Carol seemed to be having a great time, but it was cut short by an emergency call from the Avengers. Nothing else developed between the two of them.

6 Mantis Finally Broke Vision's Romantic Tension

In their first time together as Avengers, Vision and Mantis shared some romantic tension. However, Vision was becoming more and more devoted to Scarlet Witch, while Mantis was going forward with her destiny to be the Celestial Madonna. They did get a second chance, though.

During the Celestial Quest limited series, the two finally consummated that tension-filled relationship. It was very awkward, with Scarlet Witch along on the mission. In the end, though, Vision ended the relationship after seeing Mantis with her son, Quoi, since he could not give her any children.

5 Deathcry Threw Herself At Vision

Dathcry and Vision kissing from Avengers #367

Deathcry came from the Shi'ar Empire to learn about Earth culture. She developed close relationships with several Avengers. She only threw herself at one, though, and it was the Vision.

She kissed Vision and practically tried to climb him. When he failed to react, she stormed off. Then, Vision showed how unfazed he was by nearly punching a hole in the thick concrete wall surrounding Avengers Mansion.

4 Cassie Lang Dated A Teenage Version of Vision

In Young Avengers Vision dated Cassie Lang

The version of Vision that was based on Iron Lad's brain patterns went on a soul-searching journey and was determined to become a separate entity from the original Vision. He took the name Jonas and went back to invite Stature, his former teammate in the Young Avengers, to lunch. There, he confessed his romantic feelings for her.

When Iron Lad returned to the team, there was friction between him and Jonas. It all sadly ended when Cassie was killed by Doctor Doom and Iron Lad destroyed Jonas. Of course, being Marvel, Cassie didn't stay dead.

3 The Ultimate Universe's Vision Loved the Falcon

In her later adventures, she became close to Sam Wilson, the Falcon. He even gave her a key to his apartment. When the Vision died driving awayGah Lak Tus from an alternate Earth, she sent a message to Earth that included a profession of love for Sam Wilson.

2 Eve Gave Vision Synthetic Children

Eve and Vision from Uncanny Avengers #3

In the second Uncanny Avengers series, Vision began a romance with a synthesoid named Eve. It was in the time his team was split up on Counter-Earth looking for Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. Vision and Eve got very serious, even setting about creating children.

The High Evolutionary threatened Eve's children, so she set about finding a new planet to raise them on. Vision tried to convince her to come to Earth with him. In the end, Vision was separated from Eve and his offspring, who settled elsewhere in space.

1 Virginia Was The Wife Vision Made For Himself

cover detail of Vision #1

The Vision literally made a family for himself. For his wife Virginia, he used the brain patterns of his ex-wife, the Scarlet Witch. When the supervillain Grim Reaper attacked, the Vision's wife killed him and buried him in the yard. This started a tragic chain of events.

Virginia nearly killed a neighbor that saw her bury the Grim Reaper. She then killed Victor Mancha, Vision's other "brother." To keep her husband and daughter safe, she confessed to her attacks and absolved her husband. She then killed herself by drinking a sort of water that sadly eliminated her consciousness.
