Marvel Comics Signs Mark Millar To Exclusive Agreement

Official Press Release

Marvel is pleased to announce the signing of a long-term, exclusive agreement with a key resident in the House of Ideas, writer Mark Millar!

Millar, famed for his work on the Ultimates, Ultimate X-Men, Marvel Knights: Spider-Man, and many other titles, had the following to say, "I came on board when they added the bar down in the basement. I'm very happy to say they've now renamed the rec room at the House of Ideas, 'Millar's'. Thanks, Marvel - I've had a blast so far, and am more than thrilled at the prospects we have for the coming years!"

Marvel's Editor in Chief, Joe Quesada, concurred, "We have a great opportunity here by keeping Mark in the family. We can now relax and tell some great stories. I couldn't be happier to have one of the industry's top five writers on board for the next few years. Now, all we need to do is keep Millar out of the suds long enough to write another best-seller!"

In the words of Marvel Publisher Dan Buckley, "We'll all raise a drink to Mark for showing commitment to his long-term projects here at Marvel. And I speak for all of us here, and, I'm sure, for the legions of fans who have followed his work on so many titles over the last few years, when I say we're thrilled to have him on board!"
