With Halloween now about a month and a half away, Marvel Comics has revealed a collection of spooky variant covers inspired by classic horror film serial posters, which are slated to ship with certain titles going on sale from the New York-based publisher this October.

The titles getting horror variants (and the artists providing said variants) include Amazing Spider-Man #50 (Aaron Kuder with colors by Jordie Bellaire), Avengers #37 (Javier Rodríguez), Captain America #24 (Mirka Andolfo), Captain Marvel #22 (Taurin Clarke), Immortal Hulk #38 (Mike del Mundo), Iron Man #2 (Mattia De Iulis), Spider-Woman #5 (Patrick Gleason) and X-Men #13 (Russell Dauterman).

These covers place Marvel's superheroes in various retro-style horror scenarios. Kuder and Bellaire's Amazing Spider-Man cover imagines the wall-crawler as a vampire hunter (watch out, Morbius), Dauterman's X-Men variant depicts Marvel's most famous mutants as members of the undead, Gleason's Spider-Woman variant sees Jessica Drew channel Werewolf by Night and, speaking of werewolves, Andolfo's Captain America variant resurrects Steve Rogers' old "Capwolf" persona as he gnaws on the arm of a certain Armored Avenger. The covers also include alternate titles for the comics, such as Avengers becoming "Where Avengers Dwell" and Immortal Hulk becoming "The Living Hulk."
