The Marvel Comics world is full of many great heroes and villains. While many of these characters have been recognized as well known icons of the medium for some time, others weren't as lucky as they have become with the introduction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

One character that boomed in popularity with the introduction of this movie universe is Thor's mischievous brother, Loki. Loki has enjoyed quite some time as a very important villain in the comics which means, like in the case of most characters, he's received his own fair share of great costumes throughout the years.

10 The King Thor Look

Loki's new design introduced in the series of King Thor is one that greatly capitalizes on the chaotic nature and power of this evil God. In comparing he and his brothers' new and aged up looks, it's easy to see that the artists decided to amplify the symbolism of the two.

When the two brothers share panels during this series their designs truly shine, as the opposite nature of the two is seen front and center, with Loki looking to be the epitome of darkness that can come with godhood and thor representing all that is good and righteous.

9 Agent of Asgard Volume Two

Loki's look from his series Loki: Agent of Asgard takes a lot of inspiration from his original and most classic look with a few adjustments. This costume does away with the golden bells and whistles in favor of something a lot more gritty.

The dark and grimy nature really evokes feelings of just how Loki should be perceived. A sneaky and conniving god that's always up to no good. It's one of the many perfect looks for him that's welcome to return whenever it pleases.

8 Thor and Loki: Blood Brothers

The series Thor and Loki: Blood Brothers is not only one of the darker Thor series, but one that wants to show how much darker it can be by changing the design of Thor's brother Loki in the perfect way.

Despite his outfit being greatly inspired and taken from the classic green and yellow Loki look, it doesn't come off as goofy at all. In fact, this is honestly one of Loki's most fearsome looks in comics. This look combined with the art style of the series itself truly makes Loki look like a ruler that not even the most foolish and brave man would want to mess around with.

7 The Last Days of Agent of Asgard

The Last Days of Loki: Agent of Asgard was a title picked up for Loki's solo series when the "Secret Wars" storyline was brought into the world of Marvel once again. This branched off story of this new "Secret Wars" addition gave Loki yet another new look.

This new look is very similar to that of the second volume's costume for Loki in his Agent of Asgard series but with a few changes. This time around his helmet is a bit different and the green is done away with for a blue armored suit. While not evoking the classic feeling of the green and yellow it still looks great on the god of mischief.

6 Carnage-ized Loki

During Carnage's Marvel takeover many different Marvel characters received a symbiote makeover. One of those characters was Loki, who honestly would be a perfect match for a symbiote as evil and psychotic as that of Cletus Kassady.

This makes the Carnage look for Loki a match made in heaven. Sadly, this cover simply shows off Loki mid-transformation, but it's easy to see how great the design would be if he fully changed. Loki's horns would work wonders with the Carnage look.

5 Walter Simonson's Loki

Not only has Walter Simison's Thor comic run been hailed as one of the most iconic for the God of Thunder, but his look for Loki is still looked like one of his most iconic as well. This is one of the first times Loki was given his crown resembling a horn hat and pauldrons. This is one look that makes him look absolutely mean and more powerful than ever.

4 Sorcerer Supreme Loki

Loki's time as the Sorcerer Supreme may not have lasted too long but his look is definitely not forgotten. When it comes to badass costumes for this mischievous god, this one takes the cake.

It's basically just his classic outfit but with Doctor Strange's iconic cape thrown on back, but that's apparently all it needs.

3 Viking Age Loki

Thor volume 5 introduced a new look for a new age of Loki and that look was that of the Viking Age. This look was one of the more intimidating versions of Loki, making him seem as he was the physically stronger of Odin's sons.

2 Vengence

The Vengence series also featured a much more menacing look for Loki. This version of Loki takes the original and builds upon it with much more true to mythology additions such as cloth for the back of his helmet, more armor, and more decorative features.

1 Loki's Classic Look

While goofy to some, Loki's original look just can't be beaten as it perfectly embodies what makes Loki the character that he is. This classic outfit is sweet and simple while suiting the character amazingly. One look that tells readers exactly everything that Loki is about.
