Marvel Comics is gearing up for the new year by releasing a series of variant covers celebrating one of its heroes from the near-future: Iron Man 2020.

The variant cover series was revealed in Marvel's December 2019 solicitations, which went live today. They star Ben Parker, the young hero of J.J. Abrams, his son Henry Abrams and Sara Pichelli's Spider-Man miniseries, which debuted this week. Joining Ben Parker in the Iron Man 2020 variant cover series is Elektra for Daredevil #14, Vulture for Amazing Spider-Man #36 and Beta Ray Bill for Guardians of the Galaxy #12.

Spider-Man #1 surprised fans and readers by introducing a new take on the web-slinger's origin story, with the tale diverting from Peter Parker by revealing Ben Parker, the son of Peter and Mary Jane. After MJ's death by the new villain Cadaverous, Peter retires from being Spider-Man. A 12-year time jump shows Ben developing spider-powers, just like his father.

You can find the Iron Man 2020 cover and solicitation for Spider-Man #4, along with Iron Man 2020 covers for Daredevil #14, Amazing Spider-Man #36 and Guardians of the Galaxy #12 below.
