When it comes to the Hulk, everyone knows he has near-unlimited strength, a power that only seems to ramp up the angrier he gets. There's a reason he and many others call him the strongest there is. He's a beast that still has untapped potential, some of which has been getting expanded on in comics as of late.

There is far more to the Hulk than just strength and anger, however. He's got a plethora of other powers at his disposal, some of which are innate while others have been built up over time. The Hulk is always involving as a character, feeling like he grows stronger with each new writer.

10 Mutation

Pressing Flesh: 15 Odd Facts About The Hulk's Skin

Hulk's body is constantly mutating and evolving the longer that he lives. This on its own isn't necessarily a power, but it's granted him abilities that he didn't always have.

The most obvious of these would be how he gained the ability to breathe in space thanks to the events leading up and during World War Hulk. His body is always finding new ways to protect itself, much like animals do through generations, only it's happening to just him. He's like a sponge for defensive measures.

9 Immortality

This is one of the newer abilities mentioned earlier. Thanks to Al Ewing, The Hulk has become an immortal being, one that has been around for a heck of a lot longer than any of us thought. It's a genuinely fascinating series that any fan of the Hulk ought to check out.

It touches on the relationship between Hulk and Banner in a way that few comics do. It also isn't the first comic that's hinted at the Hulk being immortal or at the very least close. The equally amazing Old Man Logan has him very much alive and well when much of the superhero and villain population has died off.

8 Fire Resistant

World War Hulk is one of Hulk's better stories, one of the most Hulk smash orientated tales. It's also the location where Hulk's fire resistance was on full display. Normally, Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, can reach temperatures of 780 degrees Fahrenheit, warm enough to do serious damage to anyone other than himself.

He took it even a step beyond that, going full Nova against Hulk, knocking Johnny out in the process. Hulk managed to tank the attack as if it were no more than a punch from a puny human.

7 Grey Hulk

Gray Hulk coming out

The relationship between green and grey hulk has always been a confusing one for fans who don't read Hulk comics, some not even knowing he had a grey version. Often called Mr. Fixit, Grey Hulk isn't the raging behemoth that Green Hulk is, having far more intelligence than his emerald counterpart.

He also has more of a grey morality scale, doing things that put him in that anti-hero mold. It's also a direct reference to his color, a color that Stan Lee actually wanted to make Hulk when he first created the character.

6 Telepathic Immunity

This may be the handiest of Hulk's abilities, for both himself and the world at large. Could you imagine the devastation if a villain managed to telepathically control Hulk? It'd be bad news for everyone involved. It's especially handy when you consider the vast amount of telepaths in the Marvel universe.

There's at least thirty of them, if not more. It seems like every third person has some form of telepathic ability, even knockoff Superman characters like Sentry. A character who managed to make the whole world forget about him except Hulk.

5 He Can See Ghosts

This is the strangest of his powers, one that doesn't even make a whole lot of sense, yet, it's taken place in comics twice. First of which was when he managed to spot Dr. Strange while he was in the Astral plane. Not only that, but he heard what Strange was saying, taking offense to Strange's barb about his intellect.

The second time was when he saw the ghost of his father, an abusive man who tried driving Bruce into insanity. The second time at least had a plot reason to it, but by and large, this ability seems like a needless addition to the character.

4 Life-Giving Blood

Planet Hulk is one of the best stories Hulk has to offer, one fan's and nonfans of the character would enjoy. A big plot point in that story is that Hulk is the savior of the planet, one that could bring it back to its former glory.

While Hulk thought otherwise, his blood managed to regrow a flower, proving that he was the one the people of Sakaar had long prayed for. It wasn't the first time his blood had proved it's life-giving properties either. It's the sole reason we have a She-Hulk, thanks to Bruce giving Jennifer Walters a blood transfusion.

3 Can Punch Through Dimensions

Everyone knows that Hulk has limitless strength and power, that's on full display to anyone who's ever seen him in action. The man is a walking juggernaut that can't be stopped, but his power goes beyond what you can imagine, having the ability to literally shatter dimensions.

His feats when it comes to strength are unmatched by anyone in the Marvel Universe, not even a god such as Thor can hope to come into the same realm.

2 Leaping Continents In A Single Bound

This is touched on in plenty of films, showing Hulk leaping through deserts to escape the military more often than not. The sheer distance he can cover is never shown on screen, however. He's been able to leap as far as a thousand miles in a single leap before, even managing to leap to the top of Mount Olympus from ground level.

There have been times he's been in danger of leaving the Earth's orbit due to how high he leaps. The craziest part is how precise he is, landing exactly where he wants to.

1 Always Finding His Way Back Home

Bruce hugs Betty before and explosion featuring the Incredible Hulk

In this case, home is the Lab that caused him to become The Hulk in the first place. He always seems to be able to find his way back there, no matter the situation. At first, it's thought to be due to Maestro luring him there in hopes of absorbing his radiation enough to revive, but even after that happens, the ability remains.

There's some type of pull that draws both Bruce and The Hulk, always leading them back to where it all began. It's one of the few powers that doesn't enhance Hulk's already incredible strength.
