The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the most ambitious movie projects we've seen in a long time. It brings together tons of Marvel's best characters on the big screen through a very popular cinematic world that is connected from movie to movie, sort of like a big television show.

However, some of these characters used in this film honestly seem like they would work better on an actual television show ala Netflix's canceled Daredevil series. We've made this list to look at who we feel would work better with a smaller scale television show instead of being a big-screen exclusive hero.

10 SPIDER-MAN

Spidey is no stranger to the small screen. He's had tons of television shows, each being at least moderately successful due to the formula of his series being absolutely perfect for a small scale television show. This is one of the many reasons we think he should be a television star instead of a movie one.

Spider-Man operates on a lower level than the rest of his co-stars. No wants to constantly see him take on large threats as he's a "Neighborhood Spider-Man". This is why something a bit smaller would fit his flow more as well give us more time with his co-cast for more of that patented Spidey drama.

9 BLACK PANTHER

While he works amazingly on the big screen we can't help but feel a longer series and a lot more air time would do wonders for the king of Wakanda. As we saw in his cinematic debut there is more to the Black Panther than going on missions, fighting, and the cool suit.

A lot of the Black Panther series has to do with the diplomacy of Wakanda. It would be great to have more time with Tchalla and the people of his country in a way that would allow us to witness the way the laws of the country work and evolve long term.

8 NICK FURY

The man of mystery and the head of S.H.I.E.L.D would be a perfect fit for a television show to tie up the loose ends of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He's not in the films as much as the mainline heroes so why not give the man a television show to fill us in on the different missions he's going out on during his cinematic downtime.

This feels like what the television show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was going for and while it was successful it could have definitely done with a better cast. Yeah Samuel L. Jackson is expensive but Disney has the money for it.

7 HULK

The Hulk is no stranger to television as he was the star character of one of the more successful Marvel television shows. His popular show was one of the few that was live-action as well. It was a show that delved into the psyche of Bruce Banner and always gave us a dramatic entrance for the Incredible Hulk.

This is one of the reasons that Hulk should make a television return. We aren't given a good view of his character in the films and he feels sort of abridged. A television show could easily remedy this.

6 ANT-MAN

While Scott Lang doesn't seem to be in short supply in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a television show might be his true calling. The cinematic take on Ant-Man so far has been one of the cinematic series that is more focused on action-comedy than a true plotline.

A television show might be just what the doctor ordered with this character. There are so many funny situations that Ant-Man could get into with his toolkit and his current job. Heck, there could even be special appearances from the rest of the Avengers.

5 BLACK WIDOW

Black Widow may be making her final cinematic universe appearance with her new film but there could still be room for her on television. This new movie is opening the doors for audiences to finally take a look at everyone's favorite red-headed spy and assassin before she joins the Avengers and we're all for it.

A television show could have opened up this past life even more and given us a weekly mission to look forward to. Maybe if we didn't have to have a big film for everyone this could be the route taken instead.

4 WAR MACHINE

Besides Spider-Man, War Machine may be the character that needs a television show more than any of the Marvel Cinematic cast. This character has been through it all and has canonically been in the Cinematic Universe since the start with Iron Man. Not only that but as a high ranking member of the military, he sees a lot that goes on behind the scenes.

This could make for a great television show full of espionage, action, explosions, and awesome missions not only using War Machine but Rhodey outside of the classic armor as well.

3 GAMORA

While Gamora is a huge character nowadays due to the newfound popularity of the cinematic Guardians of the Galaxy it still only feels like we know a small amount of her. The character never really feels like we've finally gotten to know her and that's a great missed opportunity compared to the rest of the characters.

A television show would be the perfect tool used to truly introduce us to Gamora and give us a view at her life when she's away from the Guardians on missions of her own. Hopefully, we finally would see why they call her the "Most Dangerous Woman in the Galaxy".

2 SHURI

Another character from the Black Panther series that could star in a television show of their own is the king's younger sister Shuri. She's just as important to the government of Wakanda as her older brother and she must prepare to take the thrown herself whenever his time is up.

This is one of the things that this series could focus on as well as her love of tech and how that could get in the way of her learnings for the future of Wakanda. This is somewhat one of the focuses of the characters in the comics and would be great to be highlighted in the MCU.

1 DOCTOR STRANGE

While the television show undoubtedly would have worse looking special effects, a Doctor Strange show with effects intact would be amazing. Imagine the Sorcerer Supreme going on a different spiritual quest each episode, giving us the chance to take a look at more techniques and dimensions than we'll ever get to see in the films.

It would really be something to be able to follow Strange on countless adventures with each episode topping the next. Hopefully, his next cinematic adventures can fill this void.
