Last summer, Marvel fans went down to the Big Easy for the inaugural season of Cloak & Dagger, which introduced the eponymous vigilante duo to newcomers and gave a new take on the pair's origin. The first season ended on August 2, 2018, with a second season announced on July 20 for a spring 2019 premiere. Now, after months of waiting, the premiere date of the second season has been announced: April 4, 2019.Revealed today on TV & Not TV founder Jason Lynch's Twitter, Season 2 will start with a two-hour premiere. Outside of confirming the premiere date, Lynch revealed nothing else about the second season.

So, what will the upcoming second season bring for Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) and Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt)? Details regarding the season's arc are still unknown, but seeing as how the first season finale ended with supporting character Brigid O' Reilly (Emma Lahana) transforming into her superhuman alter ego Mayhem, it looks as though the duo may have its proverbial work cut out for them when Season 2 makes its' debut in the spring.

Returning April 4 on Freeform, Cloak & Dagger stars Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowen/Dagger and Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson/Cloak, as well as Emma Lahana as Brigid O'Reilly/Mayhem, Andrea Roth as Tandy’s mother Melissa Bowen, Gloria Reuben as Tyrone’s mother Adina Johnson, Miles Mussenden as Tyrone’s father Michael Johnson, Carl Lundstedt as Liam, James Saito as Dr. Bernard Sanjo and J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors.
