Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige hinted that the MCU's new saga's plans will become much more apparent in the next few months, with seeds already planted in the films and series thus far released.

According to GameRant, Feige teased the future of the MCU while doing press for Thor: Love and Thunder. "As we're nearing the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going," Feige teased. "I think there have been many clues already, that are at least apparent to me, of where this whole saga is going. But we'll be a little more direct about that in the coming months, to set a plan, so audiences who want to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap."

Unlike The Infinity Saga, comprising all the Marvel films up through Spider-Man: Far From Home, the existing slat of movies and Disney+ series have yet to reveal a definitive connection to a central plot of the comics. Although it wasn't clear at the time, the Infinity Stones, which gave the saga its name, appeared fairly early with the fifth and sixth films, Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers, which introduced the disguised Space and Mind stones. Several movies and series into Phase 4 and fans still debate the ultimate plot for the new saga.

Part of the difficulty in nailing down an overarching theme is because Phase 4 feels notably unique compared to previous MCU phases, something Feige acknowledged while doing press for the currently-airing Ms. Marvel. "That's always the intention, is that the Marvel Studios logo doesn't promise a particular group of characters and a particular exact tone. It promises a spirit and a style and a vibe and an emotion, I hope," he said. "That is what makes Marvel in publishing, and now in the MCU so unique, is being able to see all of those different tones and styles and characters."

One of the most common assumptions about the saga pertains to Kang the Conqueror, whose multiple variants appear poised to show up in several MCU films and series. First introduced in the season finale of Loki, Jonathan Majors played the Kang variant He Who Remains, revealed to be the creator of the TVA and the orchestrator of everyone's timelines. Casting reveals teased the character's introduction in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but with his appearance in Loki, it's been since confirmed Majors' will play a different variant in the upcoming film.
