Though a lot of the main stories ended in Avengers: Endgame, the MCU is far from being over. Over the next few years we'll see characters like the Eternals and Shang-Chi, with new iterations of well-known characters like the Fantastic Four and X-Men just around the corner. We're hoping for some of Marvel's more offbeat characters to show up as well.

Marvel's history is filled with often bizarre characters and some might not even fit the MCU, but maybe with some changes they can be redeemed for fans. It's worth a shot if they're already used to a talking raccoon. So here are ten weird Marvel characters we want to see join the MCU.

10 Beta Ray Bill

A fan-favorite, Bill is a genetically-modified member of the Korbinites, an alien species that's gone extinct. In his first appearance he comes across Thor when he encounters Bill's ship Scuttlebutt on a mission. A fight between them ends with Bill knocking the Thunder God unconscious. Bill then discovers Thor's hammer Mjolnir, and upon wielding it gets Thor's powers. Odin summons Bill and Thor to Asgard, where a fight to the death is decided to determine who gets Mjolnir. Bill wins, but reconsiders his claim after saving Thor from death. Odin then had a new hammer be forged for Bill from the same metal as Mjolnir. He's since been a powerful ally and friend of Thor.

While he came close to appearing in Thor: Ragnarok, Bill hasn't appeared in the MCU (though Stormbreaker is currently wielded by Thor). Fans want to see him at some point, and it looks like an appearance is coming: according to Endgame's screenplay, the 2014 versions of Gamora and Nebula were killing Korbinites when they first appeared, and Bill could take revenge in an upcoming film. Since the Guardians are said to be in Thor: Love and Thunder, maybe Bill tracks them down to find Gamora or Nebula, only to come into conflict (and eventually become allies) with Thor.

9 Sauron

Not to be confused with a certain Lord of the Rings, Sauron is the villainous alter ego of Dr. Karl Lykos. Lykos was bitten by a mutant pterodactyl (yes, really) and found he could now absorb the energy and life force of others through touch, doing so to survive. Absorbing the life force of a mutant transforms him into Sauron, a pterodactyl with hypnotic powers, increased strength and speed. While Lykos relocated to the Savage Land to protect himself from others, Sauron has managed to resurface time and again, coming into conflict with the X-Men and Ka-Zar.

With the X-Men back at Marvel Studios, we could see Lykos and his alter ego in the near future, maybe once the Savage Island is officially introduced. Since that location hasn't been explored in live-action, it opens doors for all sorts of surreal story possibilities, and an energy-sucking pterodactyl wouldn't seem out of place.

8 Mandrill

A mutant born with ape-like features due to his father's exposure to radiation, Mandrill was shunned by his family for his appearance and abandoned at ten years old. Later becoming a criminal, Mandrill's mutant ability is giving off pheromones that attract women and allow him to control them.

Obviously that power's made him controversial (and he's not the only one), so an MCU appearance would be wise to remove it. Maybe making him more of a comedic, easily-disposed-of villain in a Savage Land-set film (whether that's against one of the X-Men or not) would better fit him.

7 Starfox

Born Eros of Titan, Starfox is Thanos's brother and a member of the Eternals and the Avengers at one point. Unlike his power-hungry brother, Starfox was a womanizer who never took much seriously until an attack by Thanos on Titan shifted his priorities. Since then he's opposed his brother alongside Marvel's other heroes, while still remaining controversial, as Starfox has the ability to stimulate pleasure in people's minds, making mostly women susceptible to his whims.

Starfox has thus become one of Marvel's least-liked characters, though it's rumored he'll be in the upcoming Eternals film. If this is true, then it's likely he'll be changed for his debut, and we've got some advice: make him less of a womanizer and more of a buffoonish skirt-chaser like Johnny Bravo. The MCU could then avoid a lot of the gross undertones that Starfox comes with.

6 Arcade

Marvel's answer to DC's Riddler, Arcade is the sadistic mastermind behind Murderworld, a series of amusement parks fitted with traps and weapons which he'll use to kill Marvel's heroes. Usually those heroes figure out a way to  beat Murderworld, though Arcade succeeded in killing several characters in Avengers Arena.

Arcade and Murderworld have a place in the MCU, but maybe he shouldn't start by going up against the X-Men or other big characters. Facing off against the likes of more comedic characters like Squirrel Girl or Howard the Duck first would better suit his eccentricities as an antagonist. Speaking of Howard....

5 Doctor Bong

Howard the Duck and Doctor Bong in Marvel Comics

Doctor Bong serves as Howard's main nemesis in the comics, a scientific genius who wears a bell-shaped helmet and costume. Striking his helmet allows him to daze enemies with its loud ringing or teleport, among other things. He's also in love with Beverly Switzler, Howard's companion/sometime girlfriend (whom he's known since college) and has forced her to marry him on several occasions. Basically Darth Vader by way of Tim & Eric, bringing Bong to the MCU would also bring the same surreal humor that have made Howard's comics memorable.

4 Hellcow

An ordinary cow living on a farm in the 1600's, Bessie became a victim of Count Dracula. Now a vampire cow, she's popped up here and there alongside other characters like Howard the Duck and Deadpool. She also possesses the typical vampire traits, including immortality and turning others into vampires.

With Blade and vampires coming to the MCU, Hellcow's presence would add some comedic potential to the otherwise horrific nature of vampirism. Since Deadpool's headed to the MCU as well, why not put her in his next movie to see that comic crossover in live-action?

3 Pip The Troll

Once Prince Gofern from the planet Laxidazia, Pip transformed into a hard-drinking, cigar-smoking troll after ingesting a hallucinogenic ale. His people soon tired of his debauchery and kicked him off Laxidazia. Pip then stowed away on a spaceship, eventually crossing paths with Adam Warlock, whom he befriended and joined up with as a member of the Infinity Watch.

Peter Dinklage was rumored for Pip in Avengers: Infinity War before it was revealed he was playing Eitri. An appearance shouldn't be too far off though; Adam Warlock should be making his debut in the next phase or so, and where he goes, Pip isn't far behind. Since Dinklage is out of the running, why not get Danny DeVito to play him? Imagine Pip as a cross between Frank Reynolds and Phil from Hercules.

2 Mojo

An X-Men adversary, Mojo is part of an alien species called "The Spineless Ones", who literally have no spine. He rules over the Mojoverse, whose residents are made to watch his TV programs that involve gladiator-esque matches starring Marvel's heroes. He's basically an exaggerated TV executive, and the comics play this fact up to a ludicrous and hysterical degree. Hopefully a cameo (or more) from Mojo is in the cards in a future X-Men film or perhaps Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

1 M.O.D.O.K.

The oddest of the odd, M.O.D.O.K. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) was an A.I.M. employee who underwent an experiment designed to increase his intellect; while successful,  his head grew to an abnormal size and now needing a flying chair to get around. He's menaced Marvel's heroes for years in the comics, and seeing him do the same in the MCU would be a dream come true. Fortunately, he's rumored to show up in the near future, and in our opinion he'd make a pretty fun antagonist for Ant-Man 3.
