The concept of the Iron Fist was first mentioned in Iron Fist Vol.1 #1. The Iron Fist grants a great amount of power that includes but is not limited to: enhanced strength, speed, stamina, healing, and chi-augmentation. The mythology surrounding the Iron Fist power has been expanded upon through dozens and dozens of issues of Marvel Comics.

This also means that other characters have been revealed as past Iron Fists, or have gained the power in some other type of way. Many do not have much significance to the overall Marvel Universe, but many do and deserve recognition. Here are 10 Marvel characters who have been Iron Fist, ranked.

10 Davos

Davos Steel Serpent

Davos is a very popular villain in the history of Iron Fist comics. While he did go by Iron Fist for a time, his current alias is the Steel Serpent. This is because Davos has the power of the Steel Phoenix. He is Lei-Kung's, also known as the Thunderer, son. Because of this, there was added pressure for Davos to grow up to become Iron Fist. This did not happen, and because of that, he became the archnemesis to Danny Rand.

9 Junzo Muto

Junzo Muto

Junzo Muto is an assassin and member of the organization known as The Hand. Junzo Muto did not become Iron Fist by defeating Shou-Lau, like every other person who has held the heroic moniker. He got these powers because of his ability to absorb other people's powers. The person who he fought and took their power was Davos. Junzo Muto also fought Danny Rand, and almost defeated him. It is not known if he still has the abilities of the Iron Fist.

8 Orson Randell

Orson Randell

Orson Randell was the Iron Fist that fought during World War II. He was apart of a team called the Freedom Five, and he lead another called Confederates of the Curious. Orson also became a father-figure to Wendell Rand, the father of Danny Rand. Later in life, Orson even died protecting Danny and gave him his power. Orson may not have that many appearances but he has a large impact on the Marvel Universe's history.

7 Fongi Wu

Fongi Wu

Fonji Wu was created by Brian Micheal Bendis, Will Conrad, and Mike Deodato Jr., and first appeared in New Avengers Vol. 2 #26. She is one of the most powerful people who have been Iron Fist. This is because Fongi Wu not only had all the abilities of the Iron Fist, she also was a host for the Phoenix Force.  Her taking the power of the Phoenix Force meant that she could remain a hero or she could become a villain. The outcome of her story is unknown.

6 Wu Ao-Shi

Wu Ao-Shi

Wu Ao-Shi is another strong woman that held the mantle of the Iron Fist. She was active during 1545 A.D. Wu Ao-Shi was also the Pirate Queen of Pinghai Bay and lived a very interesting life. It was so intriguing that Ju Shan, a successful movie director, made a film about her life. Wu Ao-Shi also made an appearance in the Marvel Television series Iron Fist.  In this reality, she was the first woman to become Iron Fist.

5 She-Hulk

She-Hulk

She-Hulk, aka Jennifer Walters, is one of Marvel's most popular female characters. She has been a member of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and A-Force. During the latest Avengers comic, she was given a new powerset and title.

The Age of Konshu event gave us Jennifer Walters as the Iron Hulk, where She-Hulk had the power of the Iron First, along with her other abilities.  While this was short-lived, it's a story that has potential, possibly in alternate universe stories.

4 Fan Fei

Fan Fei

Fan Fei is the first Iron Fist in the chronological timeline of the Marvel Universe.  She was first introduced in Marvel Legacy Vol. 1 #1. Fan-Fei became the Iron Fist after punching Shou-Lau to defend her students who were punished for being taught K'un Lun Kung Fu. After she was exiled from K'un Lun, she joined the Avengers of 1,000,000 B.C. She fought alongside her teammates, including Odin, Phoenix, and Agamotto, to defeat a Celestial.

3 Pei

Pei

Pei is making history being the youngest person to ever have the power of the Iron Fist.  She gained this ability after taking the power from Davos when he defeated Shou-Lau. Pei is currently living with Danny Rand, another Iron Fist. He is her student and the two have even gone on a few heroic missions together.  One of these was helping to defeat the Urchin, a villain who was using a substance to control New York's citizens and heroes alike.

2 Colleen Wing

Colleen Wing

In Marvel Comics, Colleen Wing is a member of the Heroes for Hire, and Misty Knight's best friend and partner. She is a samurai and has chi-related powers.  While Colleen does have connections to Iron Fist in the comics, her Marvel Television counterpart is even more involved in that lore.
