Marvel Comics has canceled four of its upcoming titles, including the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker movie adaptation and the ongoing Morbius series.

The other titles being canceled include the Amazing Spider-Man: Daily Bugle miniseries and the Dark Agnes miniseries based on the Robert E. Howard character of the same name. All four series were solicited before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and were placed on a two-month hiatus alongside the rest of Marvel's titles. While publication resumed in late summer, these four titles remained unsolicited.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - The Official Movie Adaptation was scheduled to be written by Jody Houser (Star Wars: Age of Republic) and illustrated by Will Sliney (Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren). With its cancellation, The Rise of Skywalker will be the first Star Wars movie that will not receive a comic book adaptation.

Morbius was written by Vita Ayala and illustrated by Marcelo Ferreria. The Living Vampire is set to return in a one-shot, Morbius: Bond By Blood. Ayala will also continue to work with Marvel, penning the Children of the Atom series for Marvel's X-Men line as part of the "Reign of X" storyline. The first five issues of Morbius are also available under the "Old Wounds" trade paperback.

The Spider-Man: Daily Bugle miniseries was meant to focus on the staff of the eponymous newspaper, spinning out of the events of Amazing Spider-Man and Daredevil. Written by Mat Johnson (Hellblazer Special: Papa Midnite, Incognegro) and illustrated by Mack Chater (Black Panther and the Crew), the series would have delved into the past of Wilson Fisk.

Dark Agnes focuses on the adventures of the titular pirate queen, spinning out of events in Conan the Barbarian. It was written by Becky Cloonan and illustrated by Luca Pizzari. The first two issues are currently on sale.
