Marvel Comics has canceled "Angela: Queen of Hel," Howling Commandos of S.H.I.E.L.D.," announcing the conclusion of both series in this week's issues. Marvel had no comment on the cancellations when reached by CBR News.

The creative team of Frank Barbiere and Brent Schoonover announced "Howling Commandos'" conclusion on the last page of this week's #6, the series' final issue. Both the writer and artist wrote thank you notes to the book's fans and the rest of the creative team.

"Angela" took a more meta approach to its cancellation announcement, with Marguerite Bennett and Kim Jacinto revealing it in-story and confirming it with the final page preview declaring Issue #7 the series' "grand finale."

Both "Howling Commandos" and "Angela" were part of Marvel's post-"Secret Wars" All-New, All-Different Marvel lineup, and among Marvel's lower-selling monthly books, with "Howling Commandos" ranking at No. 163 in February 2016's Diamond charts, and "Angela" at No. 136. "Howling Commandos" finished ahead of "Red Wolf" #3 (No. 165) and "Starbrand and Nightmask" #3 (No. 190), while "Angela" outperformed a handful of Marvel titles last month, including "Hercules" #4 (No. 150), "Weirdworld" #3 (No. 147), the already-canceled "Black Knight" #4 (No. 144), "Drax" #4 (No. 141), "Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur" #4 (No. 138) and "Illuminati" #4 (No. 137). Of those, only "Drax" and "Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur" have new issues in Marvel's June 2016 solicitations, with Hercules and series writer Dan Abnett moving to the "Civil War II: Gods of War" miniseries.
