Marvel's Voices: Legacy will debut next February, featuring comic creators old and new tackling the House of Ideas' Black heroes.

The special will feature a Venom story by Nnedi Okorafor (Shuri), and a narrative focused on Blade's legacy by Danny Lore (2020 Ironheart). Ho Che Anderson (King) will make his comics debut writing a Luke Cage focused-plotline alongside author Tochi Onyebuchi (Beasts Made of Night), who will pen a tale focused on Domino's action-packed night in Madripoor. Rounding out the special is Stephanie Williams, who will write a story centered on Monica Rambeau and her family. Artists contributing to the special include Ken Lashley (Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man) and Valentine de Landro (X-Factor), with Taurin Clarke providing the cover.

"One of the exciting things about the Marvel's Voices program is bringing in new talent. We're trying to find people who can continue to add to the Marvel Universe and who we can continue to elevate," editor Sarah Brunstad said in a statement. "As an editor, you're always trying to recruit the next hot creator, and to be given the freedom to hire a bunch of new people—that's very exciting. That's the ground floor of the next generation of writers and artists, the kind of stuff you want to look back on in 10 years and say 'this is where it started.'"

In addition to Marvel's Voices: Legacy #1, Marvel will feature Black History Month variants for select comics in February by artist Ernanda Souza. These variants include Black Panther #23 and X-Men #18, as well as Avengers #42.

Marvel recently released the Marvel's Voices: Indigenous Voices special, which focused on its Indigenous heroes, including Echo and the New Mutants' Dani Moonstar. Marvel's Voices: Legacy #1 goes on sale in February.
