Marvel recently announced that 2022 will see a major crossover event called Judgement Day that will see the Avengers, Eternals and X-Men find conflict with each other and the latest solicitation for April's Eternals #11 suggests that this conflict is getting a lot closer, with the cover for the issue even including a special cover logo stating "Judgment Day is Coming."

Marvel's solicit text for the issue notes, "Over the last year, writer Kieron Gillen and artist Esad Ribić have revolutionized the Eternals mythology in their acclaimed run on ETERNALS. Long-hidden truths about the nature of these god-like beings have been revealed, forever changing their role in the Marvel Universe, and this year, the Eternals will have brand-new enemies to contend with—THE AVENGERS."

The cover features Captain America facing off against Kingo. This follows Eternals #10, which featured a cover showing Ajak facing off against Captain Marvel. In that issue, the Eternals broke into Avengers Mountain for some sort of mysterious mission and the Avengers discovered that they were there (which was obviously not part of the plan).

In this issue, Captain America is not happy about the Eternals' mysterious ways, especially when it involves the Avengers headquarters, so he goes to look for some answers and the Eternals are none too thrilled about his attitude, hence the clash with Kingo.

Meanwhile, ever since the Eternals were "rebooted" at the start of this new series (following their mass deaths during Jason Aaron's opening Avengers arc when it was revealed that the Eternals' only reason for existing was to protect humanity, as humanity was the only way that the Dark Celestials could be defeated, so the Eternals' "special" connection to the Celestials was a lie), Ajak of the Eternals, the liaison between the Celestials and the Eternals, has been unable to connect to her gods. Well, in this issue, she finally hears back from the Celestials and the message is not what she expected to hear.

Up until this point in the Eternals, writer Kieron Gillen has only worked with artist Esad Ribic, with the book even having an unusual release schedule to give Ribic time to draw each issue, but with a major crossover upcoming, that sort of schedule it likely impractical, so with Eternals #11, Gillen is joined for the first time by a new artist, Guiu Villanova.

Eternals #11 is scheduled for an April 14th release.
