Marvel Comics' new preview for Avengers #47 sees Captain America and Iron Man brandishing new hi-tech, adaptive camouflage suits while infiltrating a Russian base.

The issue is the second part to the series' "World War She-Hulk" arc, which has seen Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk) kidnapped by the Winter Guard and taken as a prisoner of the Red Room in Russia. The Red Room is where Black Widow trained to become the expert assassin and combatant she is, recently seen in Black Widow from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Iron Man and Captain America are trying to rescue She-Hulk in the preview, using the new suits for the mission.

The previous issue saw the Avengers betrayed by Gorilla-Man, who enabled the Winter Guard to capture She-Hulk. Readers last saw She-Hulk undergoing brainwashing by her Russian captors, her skin turning red during the process. A teaser for Avengers #48 reveals that She-Hulk will become the "Winter Hulk," a servant of Russia and likely foe to her teammates, who can be seen trying to rescue her in this issue.

In the preview for Avengers #47, Iron Man and Captain America are seen wearing suits to blend into the white frozen tundra. The two lead an assault on the base's gate, taking out the guards and entering the facility. However, upon entering the building, we see technological patterns arc across Captain America's uniform, Iron Man's suit altering as well, to turn the heroes' attire into a darker color scheme that better blends into the shadows and darkness of the base.

Iron Man is no stranger to suits with adaptive properties, having donned nearly a hundred different armor configurations over the years. One of his armors was specifically outfitted to be a stealth suit, though it was lacking in the firepower department. Captain America, on the other hand, has mostly worn tactical outfits made for hand-to-hand combat, war and other missions. This suit is not a part of his typical inventory of leather straps and the classic mix of red, white and blue.

The dialogue between the two reveals that She-Hulk has been a captive of the Russian state for weeks at that point. Captain America thinks back to his friend Bucky, his loyal partner during World War II, who later fell victim to the Soviet Union as a brainwashed human weapon - the Winter Soldier. He is fearful that the Avengers will find She-Hulk having undergone a similar transformation and worries for her safety. The preview ends with Iron Man and Captain America venturing deeper into the base to rescue their teammate.
