Marvel's Avengers will make significant strides to address accessibility throughout the game, with one of the biggest examples being the non-player character Cerise, who is a wheelchair user.

"Big news!!! I’ve been dying to talk about this for a year and a half!!!" Thompson wrote on Twitter. "Last year... I did some Motion Capture for [Crystal Dynamics']  [Marvel's Avengers] in my wheelchair," Thompson wrote, also posting a picture of Cerise in-game as well as their motion-capture suit. Cerise is shown in her wheelchair summoning a violet burst of energy.

Crystal Dynamics Senior Community & Social Media Manager Meagan Marie spoke further on the matter in a Square Enix blog post, citing Thompson's input as a valuable resource. "Our goal is to normalize representation within our game world by reflecting the diversity of the real world," she said. "Cherry even did some baseline motion capture for us in their wheelchair, to help idle movements feel more organic."

The Inhumans play a major role in Marvel's Avengers, especially Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, who is a playable character.

Developed by Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix, Marvel's Avengers features Nolan North as Iron Man, Troy Baker as Bruce Banner, Laura Bailey as Black Widow, Jeff Schine as Captain America, Travis Willingham as Thor and Sandra Saad as Kamala Khan. The game arrives Sep. 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia.
