Square Enix's Marvel's Avengers is filled with classic supervillains from the comic books, including Taskmaster, Abomination and MODOK. Earth's mightiest heroes battled them across a variety of locations, using a wide array of gear, but there's more where that came from.

The upcoming expansions will bring with it new enemies, villains, locations, gear and much more, according to Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics Scot Amos in a recent Q&A session. He explained, "Currently, AIM is the villain that causes problems. Obviously Taskmaster and all his villains are doing well with Abomination. But once again, you'll see new villains and new bosses appear and far different enemies appear as you reach the bigger expansion packs."

The next expansion for Marvel's Avengers is Kate Bishop's Operation and will center on the titular Hawkeye in events that take place after the Reassemble campaign's conclusion. The expansion was originally scheduled to be released in October. However, Square Enix announced that it would delay it in order to ensure quality and fix a number of glitches and bugs. The DLC does not have an official release date.

Developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, Marvel's Avengers is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC.
