The world of Marvel comics isn't as big and as popular as it is just because of the epic stories or the new Marvel Cinematic Universe but because of the vast array of characters featured in them. One very iconic group of heroes everyone knows and can find someone to relate to is the Avengers.
Of course, some fans like to find similarities within themselves and their favorite characters using systems like the Chinese Zodiac. Many Avengers have a place on this well-known Zodiac calendar, showing just how diverse the group is when it comes to personalities.
12 Rat: Spider-Man
The Rat of the Chinese Zodiac signifies someone that is smart, charming, and very imaginative. Three personality traits that very well describe everyone's favorite friendly neighborhood hero, The Amazing Spider-Man.
However, the negative traits from this classification also describe him. Spider-Man and his lone wolf nature have led him into the grouchy and gossipy path and everyone knows he's secretive, which are also three traits of the Rat.
11 Ox: Nova
While his time with the Avengers was rather short-lived during the "New Age" of Marvel, Richard Rider, AKA, Nova also has enjoyed some time with the team.
Nova is similar to the Ox, a generous, patient (once he grew up a bit), and very determined Zodiac. However due to his place in the Annihilation story and his early days of being a hero he's always been a rather gloomy hero. He's also been known to be very stubborn, much like the Ox.
10 Tiger: Hawkeye
Hawkeye is one of the most daring, dramatic, cocky, and adventurous heroes in the Avengers and Marvel Comics in general. These traits are shared by the Tiger, making Hawkeye easily classified under this Zodiac. So anyone who is also a Tiger might share some characteristics with the expert archer.

Much like the Rabbit, Bruce Banner is very smart, kind, and intuitive. However, one wrong moment can drive the hero into a crazy state, another trait shared with the Rabbit. Due to his alter-ego, the Incredible Hulk, Bruce has become touchy and superficial as well, as the Rabbit is too.

The Dragon's traits revolve around being warm-hearted, successful, and exciting as well as gullible, demanding, and short-fused.

Tony Stark isn't the most perfect man. In fact, he's had many moments where he spent time in the negative limelight. Much like the Snake, Tony Stark can be very curious to a fault, but he also has his wise and graceful moments. On the opposite side, he can also be jealous, suspicious, and greedy.
6 Horse: Thor
The Horse is a perfect comparison for a hero like the mighty Thor. He is charismatic, generous, and heroic much like this Zodiac.
Also much like this Zodiac, Thor always manages to remind readers that he can be very impatient, vain, and hypocritical. At least until his most recent run where he is the King of Asgard and a cosmic-powered God.
5 Goat: Ms. Marvel
The latest Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan, is a new and much younger member of the Avengers than any other. Like the Goat, she is compassionate, creative, worrisome, and like many children, can be irresponsible. But that's what makes her such an interesting character to follow.
4 Monkey: Deadpool
While Deadpool isn't a full-time member of the Avengers he has made his way into the roster when the team felt the situation called for it.
Deadpool definitely falls under the Monkey Zodiac, which shows exactly why no one really trusts him with a full-time Avengers membership. Like the Monkey, Deadpool is funny, social, and always lively, but he can also be devilish and thoughtless, leading the team and himself into a whole lot of trouble.
3 Rooster: The Hulk
Bruce Banner's alter-ego, The Hulk can be trouble at first glance as shown in so many of his stories. Whenever he's around no one is easy. This giant green brute closely aligns with the Rooster Zodiac.
Both are very pushy, can be rather elitist, but hide inner insecurities. However, they are always brave, kind-hearted, and entertaining to anyone who's around when he isn't having a temper tantrum.
2 Dog: Black Widow
Black Widow is one hard character to pin into a classification, which makes a lot of sense due to her occupation as Earth's best spy and the most secretive person on the team.
However, once one gets to know the Widow it's easy to see that her traits resemble that of the Dog. Around her friends and close teammates, she is playful, giving, and always fearless. However, being a spy with a bad background she is very skeptical and can be negative and many times unsatisfied.
1 Pig: Hank Pym
The Pig reflects the often overlooked Hank Pym. Pym is far from a good guy, having one of the most controversial and troublesome roles in Marvel Comics as an abusive husband and the creator of Ultron.
Much like the Pig he can be loving and rather persuasive for better or for worse, but he is also fearful, gluttonous, and direct.
