Earlier this month, Marvel slowly began to reveal the roster for the upcoming "Astonishing X-Men" series - the latest title in the publisher's expanding list of ResurrXion branded books. Now, Marvel has revealed the full list of artists that will be contributing to the Charles Soule-penned series.
"Astonishing X-Men" #1 will feature artwork from superstar artist Jim Cheung ("New Avengers: Illuminati," "Young Avengers," "Avengers: The Children's Crusade"). Additionally, future issues of the title will feature artwork by Ron Garney ("JLA," "The Amazing Spider-Man," "Daredevil"), ACO ("Midnighter," "Deathstroke"), Phil Noto ("Jonah Hex," "X-23," "Uncanny X-Force"), Greg Land ("Uncanny X-Men," "Birds of Prey," "Fantastic Four"), Ramon Rosanas ("The Astonishing Ant-Man," "The Mighty Captain Marvel"), and other artists yet to be revealed.
"The threat facing our heroes touches on all corners of the X-Men mythology," Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said in a statement. "So each issue -- illustrated by a superstar artist -- will dig deep into one of your favorite pieces of X-Men lore, with some eye-popping surprises along the way. The last page of issue one definitely qualifies as one of those, and it's bound to make X-Men fans very happy."
Here is an official synopsis of the series according to the press release:
