Marvel is set to once again return to its long-running "What If?" concept this October, with five freshly announced "What If?" Infinity" one-shots, written by Joshua Williamson and illustrated by a different artist for each issue.

The lineup consists of "What If? Infinity - Thanos" illustrated by Williamson's "Nailbiter" collaborator Mike Henderson, "What If? Infinity - Inhumans" illustrated by Riley Rossmo, "What If? Infinity - Avengers" illustrated by Mike Norton, "What If? Infinity - Guardians of the Galaxy" illustrated by Jason Copland and "What If? Infinity - Dark Reign" illustrated by Goran Sudzuka.

"It's as simple as the title," Williamson told Marvel.com. "It's an opportunity to see 'What If?' and run with a crazy idea that might not normally work. These five issues are my only 'What If?' issues and I don't know if Marvel has any planned now, but I think they are a classic part of Marvel and I'm sure we'll see more in the future."

Marvel's full October 2015 solicitations are scheduled to be unveiled on Tuesday, July 14.
