Marvel Comics is pleased to announce the addition of John Dokes as the new Director of Marketing for Marvel Enterprises – Publishing Division.
This key appointment will help Marvel’s Comic division retain its current customer base and continue it’s expansion of Marvels comic book business.
In addition to being an alumni of Marvel Comics, John has worked for Viacom’s MTV Networks and launched key products for Volkswagen, Chrysler and Unilever. “In the beginning of my term here at Marvel, John was instrumental in launching our Marvel Knights division,” said Editor in Chief, Joe Quesada. “John is a great addition to the Marvel team.”

About John Dokes
Dokes comes to Marvel from Graphography Consultants, as a director of business development, he closed deals with some of Graphography’s largest customers. He has over 15 years of sales and marketing experience with various world renown brands. Previously, as manager for affiliate sales and marketing for MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International, he managed marketing relationships with key affiliates, Time Warner Cable and Comcast and was instrumental in developing and maintaining the Peabody Award winning, VH1: Save The Music program. He holds a B.S. from California State University, Northridge.
